I was at

I was at a Speech (some call it Forensics) competition, and I ranked first place in my category, even though I'm only a novice! I am so happy! The thing is, in a competition you are scored on both how good you are and how you are compared to the other people in the room, and I didn't score very well compared to the other people. But I am still very happy!

Actually, I didn't write for this. I was competing in the Prose category, in which you read a piece of prose (mostly excerpts from books) that someone else wrote. There are categories where you write your own material, but what I did was more like acting. Thank you so much!
