HAPPY AUGUST EVERYONE!!

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

HAPPY AUGUST EVERYONE!!

HAPPY AUGUST EVERYONE!!

I know, I know, the 1st was yesterday. But who cares, eh?

Anyway, can y'all believe that summer is already almost over? It's quite depressing. I mean, school is awesome and all, but I am gonna miss waking up at 12, lying in bed all day on the computer, and staying up talking with friends until 2 am--actually, who says I'm going to stop that? The point is, I want everyone to post what they did this summer, and what they're looking forward to when school comes around. I gotta go now, I'll post my own later.

My summer kiinndaa sucked...

I helped out at a drama for a VBS...it was fun but very time consuming. Speaking of which the VBS starts tomorrow. Wish me luck!
I have only gotten together with ONE friend this summer really, but usually to practice flute and out play. I went over to another friend's house but that was just to pick out her costumes for the VBS, and we aren't that close.

I am going hiking tommorow with a hopefully new friend.

It should be fun.

But my summer was busier then the school year and I feel almost relieved Summer is almost over.

Sad, isn't it.

Sorry, but this is gonna be long.

Well, in the beginning of summer, I went to overnight camp. And it sounds like an exaggeration, but a piece of my heart stayed behind. It was sooooooo much fun. Also, it was my first time, so that made it fun too.

After that, my cousin came to visit. I helped her write a story about kids who fight an evil enchantresss.

Then I had a day camp, and I went kayaking, and swimming and exploring, and fishing, it was awesome.

Then I went to Asheville, which was a lot of fun. It was a really cool town. Once, I got a milkshake from a milkshake store in an old double-decker bus. I also went to the Biltmore, and went downtown. It was really cool. Then I spent a few days in the mountains, and I went hiking, swimming in a lake (laking :) ), and bungee jumping.

So next week, I go to Seattle for a week.

So some other things I did this summer, little things, were as follows:

~Errands

~Pool

~Beach

~Busch Gardens (amusement park :) )

~Ocean Breeze (water park)

~Reading

~Organizing and Re-organizing my room

~Art

~Putting off art and piano homework

~Piano

~Staying home alone

Eh, the norm.

But it IS a good summer.

SUMMER IS NOT OVER YET, PEOPLE!!!!! :(

OOOOH! I wish I had your summer! That sounds like the most awesome summer ever! I've only ever been to overnight camp once because my parents can't afford it. I really REALLY want to go again, though, but to a different one.

Anyways, this summer was actually pretty horrible for me.

We just moved, so all our friends (I mean literally mean ALL of them) decided to come down and vist.

Now don't get me wrong, I love my friends, but... uuuuuuuuuuuuuugh.

There's this one family that we hang out with a lot, and we're pretty good friends with them, but we discovered that they are not good houseguests. I think maybe the best part of the summer was when our other friends stayed in a hotel nearby, it was the nicest thing. And the other best part was when our traditional Independence Day friends came down, that was also awesome, because we're really good friends, but we like NEVER get to see them, except on the Fourth of July.

But, yeah. I am super excited for school to start. not because I like school, nessesarily, but because I ADORE when the holidays come, Thanksgiving, Christmas, all of it, Christmas music starts playing, big trees go up in stores with sparkly lights... I can't even begin to describe how much I love that time of year! Except for the fact that I'm the tiniest bit sad in the back of my mind every year. Because I live down where it's hot, so we never get any snow... whatever that is. I've lived down south my whole life and I've only seen snow, like, three times, if you count the time it melted after two minutes. I'm going to move to New York when my parents kick me out. But, anyway, I love the later time of the year because things get a little big colder, and I LOATH heat. I cannot stand summer down here! It seems like the Sahara desert! I love when it's cold so that I can bundle up in my fuzzy blankets and sweaters so I can be all warm and snuggly... because warmth just isn't the same as heat, you know? Like, warmth is all fuzzy and soft, and heat just wants to kill you.

Sorry, that had almost nothing to do with summer, and was really long, but I just had to talk about winter after living in summer my whole life.

Oh yeah, and I hang out with my friend a lot. The other day, we spent 29 hours straight with each other.

I don't go back until September 8th! I stil havel half of summer to go!

But so far, I've gone to my grandma's twice, gone kayaking a few times, watched movies, had cookouts... pretty standard stuff. But this weekend I'm going to Niahra Falls, and I' m pretty excited about that.
