So, a lot of you guys are writers. I've written an essay that I'm thinking of submitting. I have a few websites with tips, including but not limited to Cicada, but I'm wondering if any of you have been published and any personal advice.

I'd reccomend Stone Soup for book reports, artwork, short stories and poems, and RATTLE'S Young Poets Anthology for poems.

I've been published several times. Creative Kids is an AWESOME magazine that every young writer should submit to. They accepted a short story of mine last year. Also, look at your library. My library has an annual art journal for teens where I published three poems. Good luck!

A lot of people are writers or poets... any nonfiction?

Thanks Bookbug and Rose bud!

I just started getting into prose, honestly. The only non-fiction type thing I've written was by abridged friendship tales, which I posted a while ago on DtE.

I write essays and articles a lot. I just submitted an essay on homeschooling to Creative Kids.
