Hey, guys! Who's excited to see some fireworks and celebrate the independence of the USA? Are you staying local? Are you partying away from home? Do you plan to launch any of your own or get out the Sparklers? Whatever's on the calendar, the red, white, and blue fourth is this week. This also means my 1 year CBverisary is coming up. Same day, at 5:26 p.m. (eastern US time). I can't wait!
I will drive out to see the local fireworks display. What is scheduled for you?

My family will normal have a BBQ with some local relatives, not much else.

I'm having a BBQ and watching fireworks. Also, buying fireworks is legal for the first time in New York state, so things might be noisier than usual. :P

@Nora the Singer- I know exactly how you feel. When I was in second grade, my best friend moved to India and I was so, so sad. The last time I saw her was after my 8th birthday party. When I dropped her off, we ran around in her yard for a long time, and I think it was the best time I've ever had with her. Probably because I knew that it would be the last time in a long time that I would see her, but I knew that I was having a great time and would always remember her and keep in touch with her. It's been three years, but I still email her, and she still occasionally responds. Last time I got in touch with her, she said that she moved to Seattle, and I was so happy that I can't even put it into words! It's still across the country from me, but my family has been to CA for summer vacation, who says we can't go to Washington?
To the reast of you talking about the 4th- we didn't do much this year, but we saw fireworks yesterday from a beach near our friend's house, and my neighbors are firing some right now. It'll be hard to go to sleep. They've been going on for at least 20 minutes. Some of them might be farther away, maybe in a different town, but I can hear and occasionally see some coming from my neighbor's house.

Just finished setting off fireworks with cousins and Grandparents. We had so much fun!!

I just came back from my Grandparents. Their place is AMAZING! This is our second time going there for the fourth of July, and it's so fun!... Okay, it's really hard to see the fireworks. (Half the trees cover them.) But all the junk food we get... *blinks* Anyways, happy Fourth of July!
