Ok, so I
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Ok, so I
Ok, so I am really weird. Whenever I'm really bored and in a particularly entreprunual spirit, I will design an entire business structure and create a business plan; contact companies about pieces/parts,and setting up wholesale accounts; contact local governments about labor laws, permits, licenses, and taxes, research small business loans; contact lease brokers about property info; and a lot more. And not small businesses like lawn-mowing or a lemonade stand. Busineses like bookstores and candy shops, t-shirt dsign companies and more.
My issue?
I can't put any of them into action. I've considered selling the plans to people to make a litle money, but the real reason I plan them is because I love to plan them and work for it. I'm like Claudia or Mrs. Frankweiler from the Mixed Up Files. And I really want to do them. But... I can't.
I don't have the nerve to tell my mum or dad, show them the planning or anything, and it isn't something a twelve year old can just go around doing.
But there's one other thing: I really, really want to apply for the TV show Shark Tank, even though I wouldn't get on. Even if I got 100k, I could have enough money to lease and remodel a building, stock a store, advertise, and more.
What do you think I should do? I really want to start a business, and I want to do it this way. Do you think I should do something small, like lawn-mowing, and work my way up to getting a bigger business?
Please pray for me and my ideas. Thanks.

If you don't do this, I will DIE! I love Shark Tank and I want to see you there!

I'm really scared to ask my mum/dad if I can do it though. I don't think they'll want me to do it becuase I'm "too young".

S.E. don't be afraid. I mean, come on! They're your parents! I think they'll support you if you have an idea that won't get you hurt or killed. If you are looking for some business ideas for kids, check the book Better Then a Lemonade Stand out of your local library. I don't think you should hide anything from your parents or be afraid. Maybe you could slip them a note, or next time you go somewhere with one of them, ask in the car.

BTW,
I used to sell crochet hair scrunchies in my neighborhood, and I made a lemonade stand with some friends when I lived in Georgia. Lemonaid stands are a great way to get experiance with money and so-forth. That is the only advice I can offer for no.

Erm... lawn mowing wouldn't be my first choice, but it is whatever you want to do! Sometimes I sell hair-scrunchies at my grandparent's farmer's market

I love mowing lawns. It's fun, but all the boys at school made fun of me because apparently mowing lawns is "man's work." Ha!
