Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Is it weird

Is it weird that I'm the kind of person who picks things in fictional books and cartoons apart, trying to see the science and saying that "WHEN THERE IS NOTHING HOLDING YOU UP, YOU FALL. YOU DO NOT KEEP WALKING ON THIN AIR UNRIL YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU ARE DOING" but when someone else brings something like that up, I say "IT IS A CARTOON. CARTOONS DON'T HAVE TO FOLLOW THE LAWS OF PHYSICS"? Because I am and I was wondering if anyone else does this.

Sort of. I tend to do the opposite. I might see something sciencey, understand how it works, but invent some story about the real reason it works. Or, get this, I write a program about how everything works in my head. Weird old me.

For a while I was really into this programing faze, I don't really program that much now. But when I did, it was the same for me, I programmed everything I saw. It was weird. I couldn't help mentally putting people's actions into a program!

Yeah I do that but I also do what S.E. does.

I do that sometimes... It bothers me though.

I totally do this! Like, somebody will say, would you rather have a pet cat or a pet dog, and I say, "A Pegasus! I make my own options." Then they'll say something like that and I'll say, "That makes no sense." I guess I'm a little bit of a hypocrite. Oops. I guess that's what comes of enjoying both imagination and wit and sarcasm.
