Please help me.

This year I came to a new school and left my best friend behind. I have become bonded to somebody, and she is going to a big time arts school, and I am happy for her but I don't know what do. I don't want her to leave. I didn't want to leave in the first place. It seems I am losing everybody I hold close. My best friend, my grandma, my house I have lived in since I was 6, my best friend, and now my friend. What should I do?!?

Look for new friends and opportunities where you are, while you can also stay in touch with old friends via email or telephone. People move--that's life! It happnes to all of us. "Make new friends, but keep the old; one is silver and the other's gold." Remember the good time you had and make new memories.

I had that experience too, when switching from public school to homeschool. It was tough because the very few friends that I had made there all became disconnected with me, and sometimes it felt like they didn't even remember me.

But they did, and eventually I stopped feeling so horrible about it, even though we never met up again. It's painful at first but you'll learn to deal with it.

And I agree with Admin - you can still stay in touch with your friends via email, telephone, Skype, etc. It's not like you'll never see/hear from her again.

Hope this helped (and I will top so others can reply) :)

I agree with Admin. Try branching out. I did, and it worked all right. But still try to keep in touch with your friend. Maybe you guys can get together sometime?
