Illness Awareness!

Illness Awareness!

Okay so this thread is for prayer requests , complaing about being sick, and all those things.  I am making this for the purpose of Taylor Swift's mother, who was recently dianosed with cancer.  Tomorrow, Monday April 13th, is an awareness and support day for this. I would love if you wore blue and a heart drawn on your hand.  So go on! Pray, rant, whatever away.

I would like to ask for prayers for a friend of my mom's whose baby is sick with RSV and in the ICU. Actually, she said that the baby's doctors are throwing around the term 'partially collapsed lung'. Please pray!

I'll definitely hope. Hard. Somehow it's extra sad when a baby dies.

You will notice I said HOPE, not pray, because I'm nonreligious. I'm not an atheist, but I'm an agonist and I'm not sure whether the best thing to do is put my trust in this baby's life with a figure that may not even exist.

Though I will try to contact the Reaper Network. It's good to have contacts in there. I'll try to negotiate with the Reaper Network and the Fates, pull some strings...

I'm trying to lighten this up a bit... not sure if it'll work. I am pretty messed up with this kind of thing. I can't navigate the waters of reassurance and kindness like, say, Nora or Cayke. I'm not very good at this, mostly because my socialization is usually online or in my head.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and November 14th is World Diabetes Day. I am a Type 1 Diabetic, and November is a great time for us to try and spread knowledge about diabetes. There are SO many misconceptions about T1D, and I have gotten extremly tired of trying to explain that no, I did not eat too much sugar as a toddler, no, I can't cure it with diet, no, it wasn't my fault, e.c.t. Awareness is always a great thing to raise! Also money, but that is a bit harder.
