So, we haven't done one of these since...Nora's died. Anywho, the first debate topic is:

READING VS. WRITING!

I pick writing. For I am a writer.

FYI, there should already be a reading vs. writing debate thread somewhere on Chatterbox, but it's fine to do it again because different people may participate.

Wait, choose another topic. Reading and writing are equally important, so the arguments would go in circles.

 

I agree it may be hard for people to pick a preference, but it's good to talk about the pros of each (and cons if you have any).

Oh, my debate club. Yeah, that was, ahem, an incident of the past.

Anyways, I'd totally love to join this one! Thanks for your revival, Winter! But I do agree that reading vs writing is quite a risky road to drive on (look at what happened when we tried to do that before...yikes). What about something that still has to do with literature, like nonfiction vs fiction? Or stories vs poems?
