Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Okay, I've been wantin' to say somethin' for awhile, but I wasn't sure what to say exactly nor when to say it.

I've been on the CB about three years now. It's always been a happy place. Fellow book lovers, writers, fangirls/boys, a place to talk and be heard, a place to express ideas, a place to open up our imaginations, and through that came great friendships and quality converstations.

Admittedly, yes, the CB has changed. But that honestly doesn't matter now. Nobody can force the CB to change either new or old, it just happens. If people leave, that isn't any one person's fault. Honestly, if you're truly worried you've done something to hurt someone or drive them away, do what you would do in real life. Look back and consider what could have hurt the person. Were you respectful? Considerate? Kind? Then there's your answer right there.

There are some suggestions though I would make. People have already suggested narrowing down to one alter ego and only on a certain page for them. I personally think this is a good idea, cause people, old and new, do come here to talk and have somewhat serious conversations. That doesn't make the alter egos bad, and don't think you have to leave over it! Just show respect, like you would anything else. I've also seen the suggestion that people be a little more dedicated to the rps, which again I also think is a good idea. RPs are way more fun if you stay dedicated and really put effort into the plotline!  My one other suggestion is just that everyone read over their comments before posting them, and really consider how what you say may affect someone. It may seem harmless to you as you write it, but when you really put yourself in someone else's shoes, you'll see things do affect people differently.

Basically what this all boils down to I'd say is respect and consideration. If you show respect toward each other, the Admins, and the CB as a whole and be considerate of what you say, then I think no one will really have any problems.
