For old chatterboxers who've been away for a while. And also for "newbies" to introduce themselves to us.
So yeah, just introduce yourself and like what you're like and maybe say a few words about other CBers, cuz it's much simpler to be introduced than to introduce oneself.
I'll start! (derp)
Hello, I'm Daffodil. My first post was about two years ago and I sorta have been infrequenting the CB lately... I don't use the computer that much. I'm almost 14 and just about a month ago the switch was flipped from "normal happy girl with occasional mood swings when she's hungry" to "sullen teen with occasional flashes of happiness." Yeah that pretty much sums me up right now... My favorite musicians are Lorde and the Drive By Truckers. I dance and play the guitar and piano, I'm homeschooled, and I hate it when people put the apotrophe in the wrong place.

@Forrest: Whoa, that's so cool, so November 4th is a special day for us! Your reason is far more important, of course. But still.

Hi peoples!
I'm Pied Piper, previously CaptainRead / CaptainReed of the vacationing third "a". I'm 14 at the moment, so I'll say 7 things about myself, because I like 7 and it's half of 14:
1. I'm from Canada, the land of ice hockey, moose (not meese), maple syrup, "Eh"s and "aboot"'s, and other ridiculous stereotypes that I find extremely funny. (except for the maple syrup, 'cause it's true and pretty fun to do)
2. I like music, especially classical, Irish/Celtic (I play this stuff on my fiddle), jazz, and stuff by oldish-but-still-alive musicians like Royal Wood and Paul Simon.
3. I am a-person-who-overuses-hyphens (and ellipses, too...). I'm also currently a fan of the dash -- that hyphen-like thing that I used right there -- although I try not to use it too often.
4. Books. BOOKS. BOOKS!!! I like almost every one I come across, but especially fantasy.
5. I'm homeschooled, although I'm afraid that's not tecnically true anymore 'cause I'm doing online school right now, and I'm also very afraid that I won't be able to do another online course without dying of overexposure to the glowing laptop-screen of Doom. That means brick-and-mortar school for me within the next couple of years, and then we'll see if it crushes me into a boring, box-minded person or not. As you can see, being a homeschooled person is very, very much a part of me, and I don't want to let go.
6. Due to the aforementioned online school, I haven't been on here much. Hopefully that will change soon!
7. My two favourite/lucky numbers are 7 and 9. I decided this with a bar of soap, and I'm sure it would love to tell you the story, but unfortunately bars of soap have neither mouths nor hands.
Canada is also home of Tim Horton's!

Okay, my name is Wren, and I just started posting on the chatterbox yesterday. I'm 13, I love Love LOVE animals, books, and I'm the fastest reader I know. (other then my sister who can read a 200 page book in about 15 minutes) I'm homeschooled, but I'm already finished with seventh grade. I spend lots of time on the computer, but only because I like to escape from my 9 siblings who are constantly bouncing off the walls. I think thats all I would like to reveal for now, anyone is welcome to ask questions, please just ask. And i do not have an alterego. Yet. - Evil laugh -

I'm homeschooled as well, and am also pretty attached to it, but I think I'm going to take community college courses for extra high school credit next year? I'm kind of scared (mostly about the placement test; I don't really take tests) but also excited.
Anytime anyone says anything about school crushing them, I am instantly and horribly reminded of The Wall, a Pink Floyd rock opera. Don't watch it unless you want to have creepy weird disturbing flashbacks at random moments. I'll never recover.
HAHAHA Squishy says edbg. Just move the D over to the end squishy, you'll learn the guitar someday.
