Chatterbox: Down to Earth

PLEASE READ THIS!!!
This was so sad, I just had to share it.
My mom was on facebook and she showed me a video about a girl who has a syndrome. One of her classmates posted a video about her saying that she was the ugliest woman in the world. The woman started making speeches about how those people do not define her. They are making a documentary about her and she was on TV because she didn't let those things bring her down.
Please, please help stop things like these from ever happening. She has a brain and feelings like everyone else! She can't help the way she looks. How would you feel if someone said that to you? If you see someone bullying or cyberbullying like this, please, PLEASE, stop it. I can't believe all the things that those people said!

*applause* *more applause* *cheering* *people start chanting Joss's name*
JO-OSS! JO-OSS! JO-OSS!
(Okay, maybe I was exaggerating a little.)
Still! Joss is absolutely, one hundred percent right. That story was great, and I wish everyone was like that girl.
Unfortunately, most people just give up.
And the other thing that Joss said? Stopping people from doing that? Even better. Standing aside while someone is bullying someone is just as bad as bullying. You could stop them if you wanted to! It isn't hard!
*everyone cheers as both speeches are finished, and they chant "JO-OSS! JO-OSS!" and "ST.OWL! ST.OWL! ST.OWL! (I will keep adding names as people post)*

That is an absolutely terrible, sad, and touching story. Joss is right. We should not stand by, and allow these things to happen. Fortunately, I do not know of any such thing happening in my area, but if I do catch wind of something, I will try my best not to let it pass. Sorry, had really short time, post more later.

Yayyyy! Good for you, Joss! And St. Owl, you too! (don't forget to add me to your cheer!)

I heard about that story. And then I broke down in tears.
What's actually ugly about this whole thing? The fact that these heartless people had the nerve to label someone based upon her looks and not what's beyond the surface. Everyone is beautiful, and I don't care if anyone disagrees. Diversity is beautiful. We have the dreamers and the musicians and the actors and the technicians and the teachers and the leaders and the athletes and the bookworms and the writers and the artists and the cooks and the dancers and the fighters and the laughing, bright-eyed children who always manage to put a smile on someone's face because they know that they've got to enjoy their childhood while it lasts. And they are all so beautiful.
It's funny, really, how messed up this world is and yet, people still find a way to mess it up even more by trying to tear others down. We are all only human, and we are all going to experience life. We're all going to fail and succeed and wonder and cry and grin and argue and we're all going to be silly and awkward and surprised and confused and jealous and happy. And we're all going to talk for hours upon hours on the phone late at night and discover new favorite songs and walk barefoot and get brilliant ideas and have our hearts broken and you know what? Someday when you're old and in the nursing home and looking back on your life, you'll know that it wasn't the clothes you wore or the haircut you got that mattered. You'll know that it was the kind of person you were, or pretended to be.
Life is short; don't waste it by ruining others'.

Agreed! Agreed! There is actually something like that happening in my area but a lot worse. I won't write it though because I don't think it would be appropriate, but the teens who did it actually got in trouble with the police and stuff. It's horrible though that people do things like this, whenever someone says that humanity has come so far, I think, think again people!

I have seen that woman. She is amazing and touching.

That is so sad! Omg!

The world is full of terrible people, and awfull horrors. But see the glass as half full. The world is also full of wonderful, inspiring people, and actions, and voices. Those people deserve a hall of fame all their own. The sad truth is, people only like to hear bad news. On TV, and in the news, there is bad stuff, and nobody appreciates the good things happening as we speak. Strive to be good. Strive to be peaceful. And most of all, strive to be an upstander.

How horrible! Thank you for raising awareness, Joss!
