For #2: get braces. Then you physically won't be able to!

For 1, think positive before you got to bed.

1. Most importantly, get the right amount of sleep. If you dream enough at night, then you won't feel the need to dream during the daytime. I know everyone says you should get 8 hours, but that's not true. If do, you'll wake up in the middle of a sleep cycle, and that's what will make you tired and groggy in the morning. Sleep cycles last 90 minutes. So either get 7 1/2 hours, 9 hours, or 10 1/2 hours - no in-betweens! Then you'll definitely be feeling more refreshed and awake.

Also, eat breakfast! So many people skip breakfast every day, and it's really unhealthy. Eat something with protein: that can come in the form of bacon, eggs, peanut butter, yogurt, etc. That will keep you full but not overstuffed so that you can focus on what you need to get done.

And lastly, get rid of distractions! They're probably the #1 reason why you (and I!) daydream. When it's time to do chores or schoolwork, I find that it helps to give my laptop, tablet, and phone to my mom and tell her not to give them back until I'm done. Then I pull down my blinds (I tend to stare out the window), close my door (I like to have peace and quiet), and put my hair up (I always get distracted when my it's in my eyes). Then I don't really have anything else to concentrate on but my work.

2. Nail polish!

What can I say? I get distracted! And then I end up writing a novel.

Ozzie says undo. Do you think it means something?

I've had braces and I still bite my nails. I think....

I also bit my nails for the longest time I even would swallow them eww. Even with nail polish I would still bite them.

I just grew out of it today if my nails get too long I will pick at the corners and peel them off. But, if I clip my nails every two weeks  I will leave then alone and  since playing the violin and long nails don't mix it is a plus plus situation. (My violin teacher even said my nails were too long once.)

My final words of advice are to really really try hard not to bite your nails and maybe someday biting your nails just won't appeal to you anymore.
