Okay, if you want to be technical, it's really ice. ice on the roads, on the trees, icicles hanging from everything- it's so pretty!! But dangerous. 

Did anyone else get the snow/ice effect today?

More like yesterday... we had a snow day yesterday and a two-hr delay today.  The ice is pretty bad... but the snow is fun fpr sledding! Just watch out for trees.... yeah that happened.......

Icicles are really pretty! I'm always amazed by how it looks! Here, we get snow and ice all the time; it's not a rare thing. I love it when the snow is white and sparkly, but after a while with no new snow it looks like a dirt pile. I like to build snowmen and snow dens and go snowshoeing, sledding and skiing in it.

On Monday night we got some very fine powdery snow, but then it rained around two in the morning so there's this thick ice layer. At least then, you can walk on the snow without making footprints, you get that slippery ice-skating effect, and your sled slides a lot farther.
