Annoying Parents

Annoying Parents

What are some things your parents/ aunts and uncles do that really get on your nerves?

Sometimes my mom starts singing at the most random times, like we're living in a musical. It would be less infuriating if there was a musical cue before she started singing.

My grandfather (and me) is notorious for that. He even comes up with his own songs! And my brother slurps and snarffles when he eats (shudders). That REALLY annoys me!

My parents don't get annoying. Sure, there are things I like they possibly might not agree with (and not know about), but they aren't annoying or embarrassing.

I think as you get older, little things your parents do (that you thought were funny as a child) end up getting on your nerves. Really, all parents embarrass their children. It's a lot easier to accept that fact and move on.

As for siblings (especially younger ones) they annoy you, embarrass you, pester you, and scrutinize you, but ultimately you love them to death.

My dad says it's in his parental job description to embarrass his children.
