Random facts thread!!

Okay, I'm a bit obsessed with science facts and stuff, and I'm constantly pummeling my family and friends with random facts. I'm learning about fungus in biology, so right now all I talk about is that. Did you know that the world's largest organism is a fungus? And it's in Oregon!! Most of it's underground, and that part is called the mycellium. In autumn, honey mushrooms pop out of the ground. The mycellium in Oregon is 2,400 acres big, and about 2,200 years old!!

Oh, I have always loved that fact! I think many will know mine, but I love it anyways because of its cool repitition: humans can survive for three weeks without food, three days without water and three minutes without air.

@Vida: I just LOVE biology! I'm technically in eighth grade, but there's no point in taking another regular science course when I can move on to biology. What grade are you in? Also, are you homeschooled? I use Apologia science as a curriculum. It's AWESOME!!

@Indigo: That's so weird! I never knew that snails hibernated at all!

Cool! I'm in eighth grade, but I'm using teh Apologia Biology course. I know it's for Christians, but I guess anyone can use it as long as you believe in Creation viewpoints.

Really? Mycellium is a real thing?! I thought Minecraft made it up! Cool! Does that mean Mooshrooms exist too?! (Just kidding on the mooshroom thing.) I guess I could find a cow in Oregon, glue mushrooms to its back, and paint it red. Tada! Mooshroom!

Random fact: It's possible dairy cows make more milk if they listen to classical music (Always trust National Geographic)!

Okay, all these random facts are really cool. Here's one of my own: Cows can walk up stairs, but not down them.
