Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I just had

I just had this thought a couple seconds ago.

Okay, so what if two of us CB'ers were going on a trip somewhere, and to do so we had to go on an airplane. What if we saw each other in the airport, or on the sidewalk somewhere, or what if our cars briefly passed each other on the highway?

Just think.

It wouldn't have to be a long look, just a short aknowledgment, a wondering at this stranger standing before us.

It makes me sad to think that we'd never recognize each other, when really we know quite a lot about each other from just being on this one online website.

(I don't know, that sounded a lot better in my head, but it could happen, right?)

I just relized that in my excitement I spelled some words wrong. Sorry!

When I have time, I try to correct any misspellings. But if there are lots of comments waiting to be posted or it's time for supper I might hurry by and miss a few. I rarely have time to really check them in a dictionary and CB doesn't have a built-in spell checker, so I have to rely on my own brain, and there are certain words and suffixes that I have trouble remembering how to spell!

Yes! We totally need a way to tell if we're among our fellow kind! How about just writing CB on the back of our hand really big?

~OR~

What if we actually purposefully met each other? Like, post just a vague what city and state we're actually in (not the moon or anything) and go to, like, a festival or comic con, so it's safe? Then I could see what you guys look like!

I think it might actually work to do that. I mean like, I know where I am ( California ) and I know a couple other people on the CB live in CA. Like Danielle . She lives in CA ( at least, I think so ) . Therefore, if we both happened to go to San Francisco at the same time, it might happen ! Gosh, if I did notice a CBer, I'd declare I was dreaming and proceed to pinch myself thoroughly complete with mutterings of , " Wake up all ready ! "

Wow! lots of CA dwellers, I think we should have a gesture and a symbol so that if you're like meeting someone new but not in a big crowd they'll know but you don't want sharpie all over your hand or on a bracelet, sharpie bracelet for crowds and 7 fingers or leg tapping or another gesture for small place?

Does anyone live in Oregon? I've never been to California, although i might visit because my grandpa lives there.

And I thought of a really cool signal. We could wear a T-shirt with a picture of Cricket on it. The only problem is you have to buy them and not everyone wants to buy one.

I am in PA

Oh, we could all print this out and tape it to a T-shirt or something!

PS: I hope this picture works!

I'm new here :)  but the whole airport and chance meetings thing would probabley not work for me because I live in England (even though I'm American). Unless there are any other Brits here?

subject) meeting

Notes: There's one problem with the T-shirt thing: If you're someone who travels a lot, then you would have to wash the T-shirt every day! I guess you could have like seven T-shirts with that on them, but if you're someone like me, then you like mix and matching your outfits for every day. I still think the signal should be a gesture.

I've always wanted to live in California. It's perfect! At least the Big Sur area is, anyways. We went to San Francisco and Big Sur (although San Francisco wasn't really our thing because my family is nature people) over the summer and it was awesome. My favorite thing was boogie boarding, because we don't have the ocean in Wisconsin. Except the water was super cold, so we could only do it once!

Seriously, no offense to my home state or anything, but Wisconsin is nothing compared to California! Except that we're super nice and good at dealing with the cold ;)

I could have seen you ! I live near one of those places ( not saying which ), so I seriously might have seen you if I went there or something.

Does anybody live in...*sob* I can't even ask... It's the smallest state, and so obscure..

Rhode Island?

And, I personally have been writing Book Wizard on the inside of my wrist every time I go someplace. So look for me, because, I travel New England an Canada frequently!

I believe Michelle Kwan, the most decorated US figure skater, lives in Rhode Island. And Emma Watson, better known as Hermione Granger in the movies, went to Brown University in Rhode Island. There's nothing wrong in being small.
