Butterfly and I, homeschoolers, start the day after Labor Day. But lots of my public school friends around here start today.

School was kind of boring today. I mean, it was cool to see who was in my house (we have so many kids that we have FOUR houses, or sets of teachers, for 8th graders alone PLUS overflow classes), but we had to stay in homeroom the whole time. So that was kind of disappointing. But I like my homeroom teacher, and I'm super excited to see who's all in my classes tomorrow!!!

I started school on August 13. I go to a Catholic school so it is different from other private schools and public schools.

I started seventh grade the second. It's my first year of middle school, so I'm really excited.

School was a bit overwhelming for me, yet it was so nice to actually to get back in the regular flow of three-quarters of the year. I was surprised and pleased to find that my French test was the exact same score as the test I took at the end of last summer. And my writing class isn't all free writing, but I am actually given a topic! Finally. I'm almost bored by my history and science classes, but am really looking forward to co-op starting, even though it means more work. Literary Analysis with Lord of the Rings is what I'm really looking forward to.

I started school August 25. I LOVE school too! Its like the best thing that has happened to any of us! We are SO lucky, some kids don't have enough money for school!
