World Cup

World Cup

Just curious. Did any of you get into the World Cup this year? Who were you rooting for? Who are your favorite soccer players?  Here, everybody is really into soccer so I watched most of the games. And I am really happy that Germany one, although Argentina is also a great team! :) 

 

I enjoyed watching world cup games when I could. My favorite parts were hearing all the national anthems and seeing the fans' costumes and makeup! But I also appreciate how hard the players work. And how stressful it must be to be a goalkeeper!

My family didn't watch, but we kept track of the scores by Google, and True and I voted on who we thought was going to win.

Yea, in the order that they were in the games, we wanted Japan, America, France, Germany/Netherlands. We weren't really partial to who would get the first place, other than Germany or Netherlands.

I watched most of the games of the World Cup. It was very exciting! Congrats, Germany! That winning goal was beautiful. Argentina is also a great team, and I can't wait for the next World Cup!

The Brazil vs. Germany game was CRAZY!

 

And for the championship, I felt bad for Messi because he had two or three chancecs, especially the free kick at the end, but he blew them. Otherwise I think that he was my favorite. For the U.S. I liked Michael Bradley and there was another sub that I liked, because whenever he came in he made someting happen. :)
