Have you tried just asking them? They probably don't even know that you want one. I have always hated asking for things beause I thought my parents wouldn't want to get it for me, but usually they were fine with it.

I. HATE. IPODS. I don't know why. I hate IPods, IPhones, Smartphones, etc. It drives me nuts the way people just stare at their screen all day, blocking out the rest of the world. I haven't played video games in two years, and I only watch TV about once a month, only when new movies come out. Really the only technology I'm always using is the computer. I write on it, and surf the web, but that's it.

I have an iPod Touch 4. The key is to tell them you want to get an iPod. Then save up for it yourself. This is way more fun and rewarding and it teaches you how to handle money. Be smart with your money. Only spend when you have to. If you get allowence, try to help more around the house. Tell relatives and friends that you would like money instead of presents for holidays and birthdays. A new 4 costs $180 + tax at Target. Hold lemonade stands, book sales, bake sales, sell old toys you don't want, or start a very small bussiness. For more ways to get money, check Better Than a Lemonade Stand out of your local library, or The American Girl book A Smart Girl's Guide to Money. I have also saved up for a Kindle Fire. Saving can be fun and easy. Try it, and you will have a new iPod in no time!

You could work out a deal with your parents. I'm saving up for one this summer, and my parents said if I get three qaurters of the money, they will pay the rest. And you could still get a smaller andmcheaper version. I'm getting an ipod nano, and they're only $145.

I got my iPod in my library's summer reading program. They had a raffle, I won. Christmas? Birthday?

I have silver iPod Classic, which I use in my dad's car (he has a plug in to make it go through the sound system) and long distances. I also have a iPod nano, the current one, in blue. I take that when I go walking, in the car, and in the school bus. The nano has only music and music videos besides the built in things like radio and fitness, and the classic has tv shows, music and music videos. I also have an iPad. I got them from my mom's parents. We ask them for the expensive things.

I kept borrowing my mom's until she told me to get my own; mine is an old one that can just play music, an ipod nano 4th generation.

None of my sisters have any hand-held electronic device. No phones, no video games, etc., the closest to one would be our cameras, but none of use really stare at it all day.
