Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Does anyone else's

Does anyone else's family have a backyard garden? My family does. We are growing green peppers, zucchini, parsley, strawberries, squash, tomatoes, cucumber, and okra. But we are having a few problems.

Problem #1 : The tomatoes aren't turning red! We have big green tomatoes on the plant, but no red ones.

Problem #2 :  The squash aren't turning yellow! They are just staying green. I am thinking something is wrong with this bed, because it is the same bed with the tomatoes.

Problem #3 : This isn't really a problem, but our two tiny strawberry plants are not growing strawberries. We already got a few tiny ones, though.

If you think you know what is wrong with our plants, please tell.

Thank you!

I'm not an expert gardener, but I think you just need to be patient. With more sun and heat, the tomatoes will probably turn red and the squash yellow.

The strawberry plants may come back bigger next year.

I'm growing a vegetable garden, too, but I don't know what's wrong with your plants. We're growing okra, squash, tomatoes, French beans, cucumbers, eggplant, and basil. Check out the book The Complete Idiot's Guide to Vegetable Gardening for your problems. It's really good.
