I am home-schooled. When do other home-schoolers start their summer break?

We start ours around the middle/end of June. Or really, whenever we finish all our subjects. Sometimes, one of us will be finished and reading during the school hours and the rest will be busily working away.

My family ends the school year at the end of the second week of June.

Summer break! What's that?

We do schoolwork all year round, which means we don't have to do as much each day, but then we're hanging around inside for two hours in the morning on beautiful summer days like today...

On the other hand, less stuff gets done in the summer anyways, (I don't think I did any schoolwork at all in the last three weeks...) so if that could be called a summmer break, it starts whenever the weather is good enough that we have to help in the garden instead of doing schoolwork.

I'm the same with you, CaptainRead. I do about half the normal workload throughout the year, so I work through the summer.

Whenever we finish all the subjects, we're done!

I actually should be done by the end of today because I'm a pretty fast learner (not to brag).

Actually, its really as soon as we get all of our workbooks done- usually around the time school ends. But we slow down a lot now- today I only have math and science!!

I am homeschooled too. I just finished schooling last week, when me and my siblings - WAIT! GRAMMATICALLY INCORRECT! - my siblings and I completed all of our work for the school year. Well, most of us. My older sister has to finish, but she'll probably be done by Friday or so.

Well, I'm on summer vacation now! BD

I work throughout the year too. We focus mainly on the subjects I struggle with (like math and science), but keep up with everything somewhat. That way I have a bit more time during the school year for sick days, vacation, etc. Plus, it gives me more time to work slowly on things to make sure I get it.

When I finish all my curriculum, I get a break . Last summer, I didn't get a break at all .
