Question of the
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Question of the
Question of the (random) day.
Today's a random day for me, and so here's a 62-dollar random question to honor it.
Will someone please explain to me what is so wonderfully awesome about David Tennant? Besides the fact that he's Doctor Who, thus playing a time-honored character. Apparently he is King of a massive fandom, and I would like to know...why. Moss gave me her take on it, but I'd like to hear others. In looks he veeeeeeeery slightly reminds me of Aragorn, but, of course, that has no bearing on anything at all. :)

His personality is what makes me like him so much. He's an amazing actor and he's hilarious. I think you just have to see him in DW to fully undestand. Before I saw him as the Doctor, I didn't get it at all. I didn't get why everyone liked him so much. I didn't think he was that attractive, but when you see him in action, you just have to like him.

Ooh, I may have to get into that fandom...
David Tennant is awesome beyond awesome! He is hilarious, and he's known for many famous and beloved roles, top of them is the Doctor! Really, I think like Ivy said, it's mostly about Doctor Who. Every Doctor you watch throughout the show you just get sooo attached to, but David Tennant leaves a lasting attachment. Even though Matt Smith has become oh so popular as the Doctor, more people say David Tennant is their favorite. He's also in a lot of other popular British shows, so when people see him in other movies, the jump up and watch those.. which leads to a massive fandom.
He does NOT look like Aragorn...

Maybe it's about time I get into Doctor Who. . . .
Well, he doesn't look exactly like Aragorn; Aragorn is of course infinitely better looking.
The thing that got me on the subject of David Tennant was that I found this Shakespeare documentary at the library that he was in; something about Hamlet. In the picture he looked sort of like Aragorn: the sad mouth and uncertain beard. Their eyes are very different, of course; one dark brown and kind of Puckish; the other silver-blue and much more melancholy.
You see that I have studied their looks very carefully. *headdesk*
