New Year!
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
New Year!
New Year!
It's almost the New Year 2014... so exciting but a little sad at the same time! Can you believe that 2013 is already over? The days, weeks, months, and years go by quickly, don't they?
Is anyone going to stay up till midnight to watch the ball drop at Times Square in NYC? I'll try this year, since last year I was so tired and went to bed at 10:00pm. Sometimes I can be a little bit of a sleepy head.
Happy New Year 2014 everyone!!! :)

I'm still up and it's an hour past when the ball dropped. That means I'm an house into the New Year (at least in my time zone). Happy New Year!

I know I'm probably suposed to be happy about this, but I can't imagine why.

Happy New Year! Last night I was a sleepyhead: I went to bed at 10:00pm. Again. I always miss the exciting part when the ball drops!

Don't worry, Nina, it's not that exciting. Just a large ball dropping from the sky:)

Happy New Year everybody! Did anyone set off fireworks?
(January 1, 2014 - 10:02 am)
Happy New Year! I didn't let off fireworks, but I threw flaming chickens at people. Among other things.

Well, Happy New Year. Though I'm sort of in like mind with Maggie on this. I don't like new years. My resolutions never work out (I'm still fiery tempered, and I have yet to blow someting up!), I'm getting older (worst thing of all), the world is getting worse (i.e. the people I actually have to interact with for the most part are getting shallower and dumber), and the zombie apocolypse hasn't happened yet (actually, most people would be grateful as that means the world hasn't ended yet). If I can ignore all that, Happy New Year! Yes, I did see the ball drop, though I've seen it before, and it's not too exciting. Especially since they decide to show all the people getting engaged, romantic or whatever afterward, so I nearly puke every year. I actually stayed up till 1 am! Anyone else eat black eye peas on New Year's Day?
@ Red: I was SO tempted to light Barbie dolls on fire, though I doubted my neighborhood association would allow it.

Flaming chickens? That's pretty funny, actually.

Happy New Year everyone! What are some of your resolutions? Mine are to get published by a few magazines and to finish my book manuscript.
(January 1, 2014 - 8:36 pm)
My main New Year's resolution is to cook through Tyler Florence's cookbook Eat This Book.
What are some other people New Year's resolutions ?
(January 1, 2014 - 10:49 pm)
Yay. 2014.
I'M NOT DONE WITH 2013!
Oh well.
Happy new year (a bit late, I guess)

Yes, I have New Year resolutions, but I never stick to any of them.
First and foremost, I really want to FINALLY destroy something this year! Preferably a stack of barbie dolls, or a giant goldilocks.
2. Control my temper (ha, like that's going to happen.)
3. Bite my tongue (I have to do that literally a lot.)
4. Disguise my temper (is that physically possible?)
5. Hide the tempers of my characters when my own temper comes through (why do so many of these revolve around my freakin' temper?!)
6. Unleash my phsycotic wrath on some poor innocent soul just once (now that will be fun!)
7. Have just at least one of my stories published somewhere (no, I have never actually had a story of mine published. Ever.)
So yeah.
Totally random, but is anyone else's computer randomly highlighting words in orange, than showing some sort of stupid advertisement? Cause mine is doing that. A lot. It's decided to highlight Theo's name, and stick a "Special Deals" advertisement on there. Don't ask me why, I have no clue.
(January 2, 2014 - 4:14 pm)
I'd like some special deals on Theos.
(January 4, 2014 - 5:29 pm)
That's exactly how I feel about this year! I'm not done with 2013! That's probably how I'll feel about each year.
