Guess who I

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Guess who I

Guess who I am. This will probably be really obvious. Blah. Tired.

1. What's that "confidence" thing again?

2. Easily offended.

3. Uh...I dunno....really really bad poetry.

(I apologize for the utter obviousness. Too tired and too stupid to think of anything more difficult.)

4. Y'all hate me. All of you do. I can tell. You might not say it, because you're too polite, but you do.

(This ^^^ is my actual thought process. I'm not trying to get attention.)

5. All of my "friends" are tired of me.

I need to go to bed it's 2 a.m.

Um. Possibly. I'm really really paranoid okay? I actually feel like everyone hates me.

Well... you're wrong. I know I don't hate you, and I haven't seen anything that makes me suspect that anyone else here hates you, either; in fact, some people have made it seem really obvious to me that they care about you a lot. It's important to remember that the way we view ourselves generally biases the way we think others view us; obviously, it can be really difficult to tell when our rationality is being compromised, but I think that if you are under the impression that everyone feels the same way about you, and it happens to be the same as the way you feel about yourself, then you're probably wrong about at least some of them.

Can I ask you why you think we hate you? I'd like to know your reasoning, if it's okay with you. Also, if there's something specific that I've been doing that's giving you that impression, then I want to know about it so that I can stop.

I am very interested to know how you came into the idea that I hate you. I hate to tell you that you're ever wrong, but in this case, you are completely and utterly wrong. I like you very, very much.

I can tell that all of the people I know irl are getting tired of me, except Brikena. She's not tired of me...yet.

(I'm really really sorry. All I ever do is talk about myself. )

No, you do talk about other things sometimes (like books and movies and TV shows), and I think most of us talk about ourselves most of the time. I know I don't mind when you talk about yourself; I care about you and want to know how you're doing, and I think that's true of most of us. You don't need to be sorry for talking about your life; if it helps you, then you should be doing it.

It's called paranoia, Ima; ever heard of it?

I can't deal with polite people. I don't mean that I can only deal with rude awful people, although that's kind of true. I mean that people who are JUST polite, without being sarcastic at all, seem fake to me. They're too sweet. Ugh. Sarcastic people are more honest. They're rude, yeah, but at least you know where you stand with them. And besides, sarcastic people keep me thinking. They expect quicker responses, and they expect interesting responses. Polite people, they give you time to think. I don't like that. I work better in environments where I'm kept on my toes. Hence my tendency to surround myself with somewhat rude, very sarcastic people.
