(PSA: I am in a really bad mood and as such can not be expected to be polite or consider the fact that other human beings have feelings.)
This is just a friendly reminder that it's literally impossible for me to believe in God. This is not because my parents aren't religious. My mom and stepdad are Southern Baptist* and my dad is Jewish. I haven't read the bible though, and don't plan on reading it anytime soon, because my parents would think I actually, like, believed in God and stuff and they would die of happiness. The thing is, I haven't ever believed in God. Seriously. Even in preschool, I felt like God was completely illogical.
*no they do not believe gay people go to hell

@Maggie:
As an athiest, you don't believe there is a God, right? But then where did everything come from?

The Big Bang. Where did that come from? I don't know, because I'm in seventh grade. I haven't learned much about the beginnings of the universe.
Evolution vs. Creation. I believe we had a thread on this topic on Chatterbox several years ago. It should be somewhere in the back pages.

I know I am rather late to the party, but if it's okay I'd like to answer the question 'why do you believe in God'. I'm just going to go ahead. Believing in God for me is like believing the wind exists or there is gravity. I can choose whether or not to believe it, but it still exists whether I think it does or not. I can choose, but that doesn't change what's real just what I perceive as real.
By the way, merry 4th day of Christmas everyone.
