My teacher gave me a challenge prohblem.

-The base of a rectangular prism is 42cm.

- You have 48 cubes.

- Each cube is 3cm. each side.

- How many square centimeters is the surface area of the rectangle prism?

I figured out the first solution easily. Help.

I'm not sure I understand the problem. Do the cubes make up the rectangular prism? Is the base 42 square cm? What was your first solution?
