Admin, do you ever write stories yourself? I want to be an author myself, but people keep telling me it's impossible.
I don't, but I'm not sure about the other Admins. But anyone can be an author. If you want to, go for it! The more you write, the better you'll get at it, like almost every other skill.

I, as a person who writes books, declare it NOT IMPOSSIBLE for you to write novels.
Publishing, on the other hand, is a different story, but, hey, if you write novels for a small audience at least you have written them! And publishing at eleven is a bit of a lofty goal, because, to paraphrase Maureen Johnson, writers need practice before they should try to publish anything.
