Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Hallucinations & Othe

Hallucinations & Other Sick Stories.

When you all have been sick, have ya ever had a funny hallucination? It usually happens during a fever and I've had multiple times. Or have any other funny things happened when you were sick?

I once went down to stand halfway down the stairway (I really thought I was better) and said to my daddy, who was sitting at the table below,"Guess what? I'm bet--" And I puked all over the landing. And myself. So much for being better.

Another time, I had a fever and I was lying down. But I got up and went downstairs and very seriously, I told my parents and siblings (I'll just call my sister J in this thing) "J has her legs all over the bed." For some weird reason I was convinced that J had her legs all over my bed and wasn't leaving any room for me. Then J, who was downstairs, so she really , even if she did have more then two legs, couldn't have any of them on my bed, got annoyed because, in order to convince me that she hadn't left her legs on my bed, she had to climb out of her sleeping bag and show me her legs. I was a funny child.

Anyway, has anybuggy else had funny hallucinations?

One time, I sleepwalked all the way downstairs before my babysitter found me.  Both Blu and I sleeptalk, and we even have conversations in our sleep sometimes.  The funniest thing to do is while someone is asleep and sleeptalking, just say a random sentence back and see how they respond.  My brother, if you wake him up, sometimes he doesn't fully wake up and is still inside his dream but he can interact with you and get into his pajamas.  I told him I'd save him from the hamsters when he was in that state once, and he just kind of nodded.  He also gets really bad nightmares.  I'm pretty sure they're actually night terrors because they affect him so much.  He wakes up crying with those and still thinks he's in a dream until my mom convinces him he's not.  Those are awful.

I have never hallucinated or fainted, although I kind of want to.  I'm so twisted.  You guys faint a lot.  Sheesh!  I've sleepwalked a couple times.  I occasionally sleeptalk, but it's usually unintelligible.  Once, I woke up saying, "Why are there any furniture?"  Weird?  Weird.

One, time, the first time I had thrown up since I was a baby, I -you guessed it- threw up! I basicly felt like I was choking, so my mom thought I needed water but I puked perfectly into a wastebascket. "That's disgusting" was all I said.
