Back from camp!
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Back from camp!
Back from camp! In Vermont. Far from home, and a greatly excellent experience.
So, this is what is was like. FUN! Well, it was a camp for homeschoolers (or unschoolers, if you prefer), and the campers were all very bright and wonderful people. The camp in question, Not Back to School Camp (often abbrieviated as NBTSC) is founded and directed by Grace Llewellyn, who wrote The Teenage Liberation Handbook. I made quite a few friends there, and all was well, and they did have internet, but only staff were allowed to use it unless a camper really had to use it for an urgent reason (and the Chatterbox obviously didn't qualify (not that I asked), which explains my absence from here.
So, yeah, more about it later. Unfortunately I can't tell you guys everything because some of it involved chats regarding adult stuff but it was all really very very cool. A few people from Canada, including this really cool guy who spins fire poi... human chess game... next gen high five... WHOO! Next gen high fives to all of you guys! I'll figure out how to explain the next gen high five later, maybe make a picture.

That sounds so cool! I'm glad you had fun, but I'm also very glad you're back! The RPs have been slow with school keeping everyone so busy. But it's neat you got to go to camp so far away from home. A chance to travel and see a bit of new places! What was your favorite thing while there?

Gee... I don't know. Um, Canadian teenage girl obsessing about her girlfriend's... wait, I can't say that here. But I don't think that was my favorite thing. It was funny though.
Maybe this one kid who did an awesome stand-up comic act in the talent show where he joked about really mean YouTube comments made by seemingly sweet teen girls. Or the organizing project. Oh, man...

Adult stuff?

S&V. Well, a LOT more S than V, and all just talking about the S, as we aren't actually allowed to have S there. V talk was minimal, though I did detail a few bloody ending scenes from Jaws (the movie), and actually I think that was the only V we talked about except for a fun conversation about how the zombie apocalypse might happen (bioterrorism, for example) and so yeah. S talk pretty much 99% of the time.

Oh. That makes sense, but I saw part of Jaws and it looked incredibly fake.

You enjoyed talking about S&V all day?!

Other stuff too.

Welcome back! You know, I live just two or three hours from Vermont, but I've never actually been there. I heard they have awesome skiing, though.
