And must I say , I'm SO glad I went , because it's our team's second year playing football , and this was the FIRST win EVER and it was on HOMECOMING ! And we won by like 13 !! Then , my hometown's team ( I go to a private school , the hometown team is the high school for the town I live in ) won their game too ! It was an awesome homecoming night for everyone !!

You are so lucky you have a homecoming! We just have random football games. There's no homecoming dance, just a Halloween dance, and our only pep rally is the half day before Thanksgiving. My school is really weird about school events.

My homecoming was great! My school's team won by quite a lot of points, which made the homecoming even more fun!
We had a pep rally, where the Seniors decided it would be cool to yell, "Freshman, Freshman go home". It was funny, though, after awarding points*, the Juniors won so they yelled, "Seniors, Seniors go home". *During Homecoming week, every grade was competing against each other to earn the most points.

That's so weird Melody !
&well , since it's a Christian school we don't have dances or anything to do w. Halloween , but we had the pep rally after ( yeah , that was weird ) !
&haha , really ? Are you a Freshman , Sophmore , Junior or Senior ?

Halloween is a Christian celebration! The whole point of Halloween is to spread a Christian message! ( I'm Christian too. Not a fundamentalist)
Halloween comes from the words All Hallows' Eve, the night before All Saints Day. However, today it is celebrated by non-Christians, too.

Uhm , since this isn't a debate , I'm not going to comment .
I
believe that Halloween is the Lord's Day . He created it . We just need
to take it back from the Devil . There's SO much spiritual significance
in that day , that I really can't expain to you , and I doubt you'd
understand , because I BARELY understand . But my opinion stands .
But for the record , I encourage you to do some research about it , & you'll find it's not a Christian 'celebration' (:
Maybe "observance" is a better word, or "holy day."

I'm a Christian too, but it's my personal opinion that Halloween can be taken both ways. Honestly, I think it's just a fun night where kids get to dress up, and go get free candy, which it always should be. But of course, there will always be people who like to corrupt it, and put a wicked or vile twist on it. It all depends on how you decide to celebrate it, and where. You can enjoy Halloween, without focusing on the "mystic", "haunted" or "gory" aspect of it.

I see what you mean.

Well thank you Admin , but that's just the opposite of Halloween (:

The football game was two days ago and although I didn't go, I'm almost positive we lost. Because at one point our high school had the record for longest number of consecutive losses in Northern California. Our team sucks. I have no idea why. You'd think that at some point a good team would form but there has never been a semi-decent football team for our school. It's probably because all the good football players go to the other high school nearby (which always has a good team. >.>) and we get stuck with the nerds! Yay! (We're an IB school, so we get people who live up to an hour away by car coming every day. But none of them are good at football.)
The dance was yesterday and I (surprise surprise) didn't go becuase I'm socially inept. I stayed home and played video games. (I can sense some of you rolling your eyes. I got plenty of eye rolls at school for that, too.)

Hey, Red, you sound like me! I'm socially inept too!
I've been to one dance. One. Actually, it was really fun, since before it I went over to my friend's house for dinner with some other friends, and we ate pizza and drank soda and played video games and hung around in general. And then we actually went to the dance, which was also really fun. (My eardrums would beg to differ.)
Since then, I have never been to another dance for reasons unknown to anyone, including myself.
On the other hand, there are a number of exclusively eighth-grade dances this year, and also the graduation dance at the end of the year, which is supposed to be great. So maybe I'll make it to a few of those.

Hey, I'm socially inept! Just ask all my lack of friends!

Your decision was certainly the better one. I hate dancing because 1) I'm at it, and 2) I just hate it. Enough said?
Capthcha says fwic. As in... you know, I'm not gonna post what I jut thought of.

Girl , use it to your advantage . You bad at dancing ? So am I . Terrible . Horrible . I just have NO rythym and I just can't move my body like that ! I dance like a dying chicken .
But I dance ALL the time ! Haha dancing is like soo much fun . Even if you're bad . xD
