More Food!

The other thread was getting long, and my computer wouldn't load it right, so I couldn't read any of your answers from about halfway :( Would you mind posting again so I can read them? My question's the same as last time: What are some foods that have good protein in them, but aren't meat, cause I'm going veggie?

Thanks again!

Peanut butter is a very good source of protein.  I love it!!  You can put it in cookies and still (probably) get some protein out of it.

Um, Kake, darling...I was sitting next to you when you wrote that. Is it really neccessary to post it?

I'll pray for you! (How long do you have to do it, again?!)

I think it depends on what you want to count it as, whether fish is a meat. There are some vegetarians that don't believe in eating fish, some that do, and some that don't believe in any animal projects. If you want to count it as meat, go ahead. If you don't, that's fine too.

I have to do it for 40 days (you know, Lent), but if I'm able to do it, I might stay perminantly. Depends.

There's this whey protein powder stuff that you mix with water. (And it comes in chocolate!)

Umm, yeah, that.  That's dried milk powder.  Umm, since Koffee isn't going vegan I guess that's okay, but, um, uh, I can't eat that.

Uhh, Protien.  Yes.  Tofu, any form of nuts, beans, soybeans, soymilk, and faux meats (sausages, baloney, turkey, hamburger patties, anything!).
Oh, and the fish thing.  A fish is an animal, right?  So you're still eating flesh, right?  So it's meat, right?
I think it's a bit un-veggie to eat fish and eggs and milk and--oops!  Don't get me started, people!  I'll never stop! ;D
*stares in horror at dead fish*
*gulps*
*sweat pours down face*
*edges away slowly*
*can't take it anymore*
*runs away screaming in terror*
*cough* Umm, just making fun of myself. :0

I don't know.  If you're not actually killing the animals, it's not being un-veggie. ;)

I love Morningstar vegetarian meat! At camp they fed it to us veggies, and I was SURE that it was real!  So I guess for those of you who are vegetarians cause you don't like meat, this would taste awful, but for those who do like the taste of meat, then you should try it. Nom nom nom...  ;P
