Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Goodbye, Chatterbox. We&#

Goodbye, Chatterbox. We'll miss you...

When we are in Japan!

(I'm bold and Butterfly's italics.) We're leaving for Japan to visit relatives on the 21st! I haven't been there since I was four!

We might be able to get here, but nothing is for certain. We think that we might not get on CB until we get back, on the 17 of September.

We still have a few days until take off, so we'll still be here until the 20 or the morning of the 21. (I doubt that we'll get on in the morning, though.) BHR, please try to keep "I was thinking" alive! I'll post as much as I can while I'm here, and if we can't get on in Japan, the second I can get on.

 Anyway, goodbye Chatterbox (and CBers!)

Butterfly insisted on posting today, to let you know ahead of time, so it's not really goodbye. ;)

(Yet.)

Japan? Sounds like DYNAMITE!!!! Please take lots of pictures (probably not of yourselves) and post them when you get back!

This may be one place to let you all know that two out of three Admins will be on vacation next week (August 18—25, 2013), so the posting of comments on CB may take a bit longer than usual. Please be patient. Thank you.

Sorry, Stickfiddler, I don't think we'll be allowed, but I'll see about it! We are really excited now, as my youngest sister has never been to Japan before, and Butterfly has only gone once, when she was two. I've gone twice, but I only remember the last time in little memories.

Have fun in Japan! What island are you going to?

Random Japanese Fun Fact: "The Japanese think of bunnies as birds. They imagine that bunnies can fly with those long ears of theirs."- my Japanese teacher. That's actually true! In Japanese, when counting objects, you have to use a certain word, called a "counter", instead of a number (counters are really similar to numbers. For instance, five is go and the counter for five small animals is gohiki. Hiki is the small animal counter.). I thought rabbits would use hiki, but they use wa, the bird counter. Supposedly, that's why.

We're going on Honshu, and will pass through Tokyo at a point.

Mom said that rabbits are counted as birds but anything without wings wouldn't be thought of as a bird. But why do they count them as birds?

Goodbye for real! We're leaving the house early tomorrow morning, so this is goodbye.

Please keep CB alive, even though you're short two CBers.

If we can get on, we will, but we don't know, so goodbye! We'll miss you all!

*silence*

Butterfly!

What, isn't silence golden?

*sigh* What I have to put up with. Anyway, goodbye! (Again.)

'Bye. Farewell forever. Er, one month.

Goodbye!

Goodbye!
