Goodbye, Chatterbox! *sob

Goodbye, Chatterbox! *sobs*...

...no, just kidding. This is merely a hiatus! I will be going away for a week to attend The Great Escape with my church, a middle-school church conference hosted at various college campuses and grounds. I'll be going to one of the college campuses, and I am SO EXCITED. Because there's an in-house band. And junk food. And speakers. And frolicking. And meandering. And wet games. And...sweet sweet freedom. Though no epic Crud War (battle with shaving cream) this year. *sobs again*

Sooooo, anyways, I know I'm involved in a lot of stuff right now. Assorted Antiquities might have to close for a little while unless somebody would be willing to run it for a week (http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/chirpatcricket/node/118921). Pretty easy job; just take people's orders and come up with new random items every day. I'll pay you $100.

Have fun this week, and don't miss me too much. :) Also, out of curiousity, have any of you been to a conference/retreat before? I semi-remember Vida heading off somewhere...

Don't scare me like that! I'm glad you're just going for a week.

To answer your question, I have been to a conference/retreat before. They are so much fun! It is nice to see so many people your age who believe and act on the same beliefs you believe in. Have fun!

If you want, I can manage the Assorted Antiques for a week. I should be available most days.

Dang! DO NOT SCARE ME! When frightened, I tend to scream. I have quite a piercing scream that literally (this has worked on MULTIPLE people) dehabilitate people. They literally drop to the floor with quite a dazed expression. Anyhoot, getting of track.

HAVE FUN! I envy you! Though I've done something a little similar. Beware pranks.

Enjoy your retreat!  I'm glad you'll only be gone from the Chatterbox for a week.

I've been going to a YMCA Family Camp for three day weekends twice a year since I was two.  You can do sports, go on hikes, do crafts, hang out with your friends and other stuff.  It's one of my favorite places.
