Ancestors. Where do

Ancestors. Where do
Ancestors. Where do your ancestors come from? I am 50% Lebanese (from my dad), 25% Scottish (from my mom's dad) and 25% English (from my mom's mom). I look more Lebanese (dark skin, hair and eyes) than Scottish or English. I especially love Lebanese food. It is soooooo good!!!

Well, I can never get it all straight, but here goes!!
On my dad's side I'm half Irish and half Scottish. (oh, and maybe part Welsh)
On my mom's side I'm part German, part Welsh, and part Italian (not by blood).
My ancestors had to flee Germany during WWII because they were Jewish, and they came to New York. One of the sisters got separated from them in Germany though, and nobody knows what happened to her. It's always really intrigued me, and I wish I could figure out her mystery! Someone in my family says they might have found out a little something about her, but there's no way to know for sure. They think she might have somehow gotten to New York and got married and had children, but we have absolutely no idea if it's really her. Wouldn't it be weird if someone on Chatterbox was her descendant???? It would be really cool to be related to them!!!!!! So, if any of you guys have ancestors who were separated from their families in Germany and then came to NY, please tell me!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

My maternal grandfather is Puerto Rican; he came to the States to marry my grandmother. His ancestors we think were Sephardic (Spanish Jews). My father's side came through on Ellis Island, but beyond that they are a mystery. My maternal grandmother's side has two governors of New York, one man who sat next to Lincoln, and, this is the big one, John Jay! (the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court) I am directly descended (I think it's eight 'greats') from John Jay.
Was I boasting too much?

Um, I'm part German, and Irish, and Cherokee, and other assorted things. If I remember correctly, I may also be part... Dutch? or is that Finnish???

Danish (my dad's dad immigrated here), Swedish (my mom's grandparent's immigrated), English (my mom and dad, various ancestors), a teensy bit of Welsh (a lot of 'greats' on my dad's side), I might be related to Pocahontas (my mom's mom's side), and American!! My Great Grandma says we're related to some English royalty, but it's probably not true.:( I might be something, else too. I'm not sure though.:)

Uhhh, I really have no idea.... My mom has some Welsh, British, Irish, and a bunch of other stuff in that area. :):) My dad thinks we're supposedly related to a Hawaiian prince, yet I really don't know, because I'm just about the palest person in all of Maine... :):):) I'm related to Sir Richard the Lion-Hearted, and a bunch of royal people, though!!! :D:D:D

Oh, and some of my ancestors fought against each other in the Revolutionary War. One was a Hessian and the other was...ummm.....on the opposite side, whatever that was. I am not caught up on history.
