Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Okay, so here

Okay, so here is where we can talk about what we received for Christmas! Wow, okay, well, that sounds rather greedy. Okay. Here. Here is where we can discuss what we are grateful for, what was most meaningful, and what most surprised you!

Me: Most meaningful... That would be 2 things. My "Anne's Theme" piano sheet music. The music from the movie that I have been DESPERETELY wanting to learn to play! And the other thing is my "HUNGER FOR GOD, His Spirit Will Fill You" t-shirt. It's kinda like the Hunger Games symbol, but the bird is a dove. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I don't read the Hunger Games, but this means a lot to me!

Most surprising... My new tablet! SO COOL! Plus the American Girl Kanani! She is SO pretty! Anyone else have Kanani?

I greatly thank God for all the blessings he bestowed upon me! I also hope everyone else had a blessed Christmas!

Hey, are you doing the 30-hour famine? Because that sounds like one of their slogans a few years ago. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it sounded similar. This year it's 'Feed Your 5,000' if anybody cares.

Well, I digress. Most meaningful - I know this doesn't really count as a oresent but it still means a lot. Every year on Christmas, my youth group goes into inner-city Detroit to serve lunch to homeless people and have a church service with them. It's really amazing, and this year, I was on mashed potato duty instead of in the cold back room making sandwiches. That way I can talk to and see all the people I'm helping. It's amazing!

And, of course, most surprising wouls have to be my phone. It's so shiny and white and has a blinding flash...

I'm out. Yava says leev.

I had a very fuzzy Christmas. I got a really soft robe, slippers, pajamas and socks. And my aunt got me Ugg Boots which I was very happy about. I got a bunch of books, which were not fuzzy. Ummm, oh yeah, my other aunt and uncle got me really cool arrows for my archery set(they weren't fuzzy either, so I guess only part of my Christmas was fuzzy). In my stocking, I got maple sugar candy!(Other stuff, too, but that's the most exciting.) I loooovvvve maple sugar candy. The day after Christmas, we were going through some of my grandpa's old stuff with my aunts and uncle, and we found a painting of the castle where they filmed Merlin!!!! Not just one that looked like it, the exact same one!

@ L; No, I wasn't part of the 30 day famine. I just found the tshirt and really really liked it! It's sort of a protest. What I always thought the Hunger Games should have been about.

@ Ivy; Oh man! Anothe archer! My people! I LOVE ADORE and just can't express my utmost love of archery! I currently have 2 bows. One is a compound, the other is a recurve. In my opinion, the recurve is more elegant looking. What kind of bow do you have? How long have you been in archery? And do you like, go somewhere to learn? I know 4H does it.

I got a sweater that I can wear over my leotard for ballet and pointe, fuzzy socks, snowshoes, and a bracelet maker.

One of the most surprising gifts was from my cousin.  So, in my family we do a cousin gift exchange for Christmas. This year my 7 year old boy cousin got my name. He got me lotion from Bath and Body Works. My aunt told me that he went into the store and sniffed most of the lotions there just to find the right scent. He ended up choosing Pink Chiffon.

@Blonde Heroines Rule: I don't have a super nice bow, but it's a recurve. I started doing archery this summer on our property in Colorado. I haven't accually taken a archery class before, but my aunt and uncle piad for my first class as part of my christmas gift. Archery is so much fun!

@Teresa: I dance ballet too!

Books.  That's about it.  I think I'm starting to get dyslexia or something.  Because I keep typing Mooselfower instead of Mooseflower.  Nyarhs.  See?

@ Ivy, I don't have a super nice bow either. I've only been doing it for about a year. What brand is your bow?

@ Gollum, don't worry about it too much. I do the same thing ALL the time. In fact, my mom is going to make an appointment with the eye doctor for me, because I'm having trouble reading sometimes, or my eyes don't adjust as well.

It's kind of like Fawlty Towers now.  I'm actually doing it on purpose a little.
