Rubik's Cube!
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Rubik's Cube!
Rubik's Cube!
Does anyone else know how to solve it? My friend taught me how. My record time is 2:08. Nothing compared to his, which is just under a minute.
I also memorized the algorithms, the last of which I only memorized about half an hour ago: Right inverted, back, back, right, front inverted, right inverted, back, back, right, right, up inverted.
That probably made absolutely no sense to you guys.
Spammy says urxe.
I saw news on TV of someone who can solve it one-handed while doing pushups with the other arm! But I don't know how to solve it.

I know a guy who can solve a Rubix Cube with one hand while playing random Bruce Springsteen songs on his trumpet with the other. He's pretty amazing.

I'm horrible at the Rubik's Cube. My record is one side in a half hour.

I am not very good, but my uncle has won some competions, I think. My dad says that he kept his cube oiled.

I know someone who can solve a Rubiks Cube in about 20 seconds. Behind his back. Its crazy. My other friend and I would mix it up, pull out some pieces, put them back in the wrong places, then gave it back to him to solve. He could tell which ones we changed, fixed them, and still solved it in less than a minute.
Does he have eyes in the back of his head?

@Admin: Haha, no. It's all muscle memory.

Record update: 1:16. Much, much better.
I ordered a speed cube from Amazon. It's a very loose Rubik's Cube that moves very quickly so you can flick sides instead of turning them.
Some of the world records are crazy. You can just look it up on Youtube.
Randomness: There are also 2 x 2, 50 x 50, and 1000 x 1000 (computer generated) Rubik's cubes.
Also, on Youtube there is a video of a "0.28 second 1 x 1 Rubik's Cube solve."
The most expensive Rubik's cube is made of diamond, gold, sapphire, ruby, emerald and a bunch of other very expensive stuff. WHY exactly would you waste money buying something like that? ($1.5 million, by the way.)

WHAT is the point of a 1x1 Rubix Cube?????
(September 29, 2012 - 12:47 pm)
Exactly. A friend informed me that apparently they time how fast you can reach out and touch it. That seems kind of pointless.
No, very pointless.
(September 30, 2012 - 10:46 am)
Extremely pointless.
(September 30, 2012 - 7:44 pm)
Hehehehehe.
NO.

There's a kid in my class who can do those in under a minute. I'm not joking. I've seen him do it. He even did the really big one in under two minutes. It was amazing.

OH MY GOSH!!! I got a Rubik's cube for my birthday, and I just SOLVED it!!!! With instructions, but still!!!

Congratulations Ivy!
Now you can get faster, and faster, and faster, and faster, and . . .

Friend record update: 54 secs.
My record update: 1 min 4 secs.
As my friend and I are both Rubik's Cube speedsolving maniacs, he is learning a new speedsolving method called the Fridrich method.
The first part is F2L, or First 2 Layers. Guess how many algorithms? (In case you don't know, algorithms are the moves you make when the cube looks a certain way.)
42 algorithms.
42.
And my friend actually LEARNED it yesterday.
Mnn.
Don't believe me? There's a website where you can check it out.
