9 kids

Hey, Everybuggy,

Is anyone else here the oldest of nine kids? Because if so, PLEASE answer!!! Though most people are probably writing in about the whole global warming deal, I'm  going to chat obout being the oldest of nine kids. Well first and foremost you could say my siblings and I get along pretty well, though I do have to say life can be VERY hectic. I have one dog named Millie, and she is the CUTEST basset hound in the world (not to brag). Well, anyhow, feel free to comment about our large family, but I am very thankful for all of my siblings and my parents.

I am the youngest of two kids. Sorry! But I am writing a novel about a family with five kids. And there is a book called Fig Pudding that I posted about in Blab About Books, about a kid who is the oldest of six kids. It's pretty sad, though. :(

Hi, Helana! I love your name. It's so pretty!! I think that big families are awesome. I am the second oldest of 4 kids. I also think basset hounds are SO CUTE!! They are all floppy and adorable!!! :):)

I'm the second oldest of 7 kids. How many boys and girls are in you family, Helena? There are 4 boys and 3 girls in mine (that's including me). Oh........ummmm....oh, darn, I forget what I was going to say. Oh yeah! What I was going to say is, you are so lucky to have siblings who get along. You should stop by my house to hear the CONSTANT screaming, running around, whining, teasing.......I could go on and on. I mean, I'm nice to them (I hope I don't sound conceited...) but they just don't listen. All of my brothers are younger than me (oh joy!) and I have an older and younger sister. So, twice as many brothers as I have sisters. And 3 of my brothers are in the "disgusting or bust" phase which really annoys my 6-yr-old and 14-yr-old sisters. My 6-yr-old sister (who is child #5) is between boys #3 and #4 and boys #6 and #7. Poor her! The boy/girl order goes: girl, girl, boy, boy, girl, boy, boy.

I'm the oldest of four kids! (Julia is my sister.) One of the good things about having siblings is that it's never boring! We have a dog, too. She is a three-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix named Pippin. Her nickname is Pippi! I think Basset Hounds are soooooo cute! Welcome to and have fun on Chatterbox! :)

My uncle has nine kids!  That is the only person I know with that many kids.  Their house is very different from ours:  they all have specific chores, everything is labelled (shampoo, toothbrushes, cups, everything!), and everything is done assembly line style!  I am the oldest of three kids.  My sister is 14 and my brother is 11 (12 on Saturday).  Sometimes being the oldest can be annoying because there is so much responsiblity, and your parents expect you to look after your siblings.  Now that we have our own rooms, my sister and I never fight.  However my brother is in the annoying-booger--"I'm better than everyone"--stage.  Which gets old. Fast.  I think it's neat to hear about everyone's siblings.

That is so cool!!! I have a friend who is also in the middle of 5 boys. By the way, Grace, does the name "Popcorn Is Yummy" ring a bell??? If so, please tell me!!! That would be really freaky. And are you Catholic? (You don't have to answer that question if you don't want to.)

You should get hooked up with the Duggar family! They have 18 kids! You can search them, but don't believe everything you see. Look at the actual family website! It has a lot of pictures and other fun things. I hope I can meet them soon. That would be sooooo cool!!!!
