I'm back! I think.
I know I've not posted for quite a while, and I'm not really sure why, but anyway, I'm here. I guess I was busy with other things. Anyway, I juat turned 14, as you may have noticed, and I'm starting high school next year. I'm excited about that; it's an early college high school, which means that by the end of it, I'll have 60 college credits and can get a bachelor's degree 2 years early. I'm only taking 1 or 2 college classes in 9th grade, though. I've also read some really interesting things, which I think I'll bring up elsewhere. I've really enjoyed my summer so far, and I think that trend is going to continue. How have you all been doing?

I'm glad people are back; I'd noticed they were here, but some of them I didn't know had been gone. Anyway, it's good to talk to you all again.

@ Vida: I'm doing quite well, thanks! How are you? I do still live in the Houston area, although I moved to a different street (yes, street--I didn't even change neighborhoods) last summer. I think I was here last summer, though--right?
Mattie: You know, I was actually thinking of you when I decided to come back. I had just finished The Silmarillion (I'm now reading Unfinished Tales), and I realized you might want to hear about it. I have 8 Tolkien books checked out from the library (which doesn't even include UT, since my brother owns that one--he's a Tolkien fan, too), and I'm waiting for 8 more to come in. I expect I'd have come regardless, because I missed talking to everyone here, but I thought you might want to know that I thought of you. :)

Ima!! It's wonderful to see you back. I haven't been on myself in... well... I don't actually know how long. Hopefully, I'll be able to stick around. :) Your new high school sounds intriguing, and I'll be interested to hear how you like it.
I've been doing well, though quite busy! This past year, I piled on maybe a little too much with the school play, and tons of new activities at school, plus all my other things, like violin and piano and orchestra and raising guide dogs. I'm going to be a sophomore next year, which is really hard to imagine for me. I'm hoping I'll figure out how to balance my life a bit better and not do so many things... which would mean more time for the CB! (I hope.) I've also, just in the past few days, decided to kick it into gear in terms of reading. Because I was so busy last year (and also a tad lazy), I wasn't reading very much at all, of course if you don't count the books I read for school, which I don't. And a few days ago, I was so frustrated about that, that I went to the library and got some books. It's amazing how much better I feel now. Anyway, that's a little summary about how I've been. It's great to hear about you and see you back!
