Hello. I am
Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket
Hello. I am
Hello. I am not new here. I have followed Cricket since it started. However, I may be considered "new" in the sense that I have never posted before. I would post this on the User Directory thread, except that you all wouldn't have any idea who I was. So. My bio.
I am 13 years old (my birthday is in October) and I would like to say right off that I am really really sorry if I sound annoying or pushy. I really don't mean to, but I come across that way in RL so I probably will here too. I'm sorry. If you find that I am starting to sound like a pest, please just ignore me. I will really try not to, but just to warn you.
Anyway, I am a girl, my favorite color is blue, and I, like most of you on here, really like books. I have one pet, a cat named Pudding (don't laugh, it was part of a deal with my friend) and many siblings. I am sort of maybe tallish--5' 4"--have green-brown eyes, brown hair, glasses and braces. I am home schooled and a Christian. Oh, and I'm in seventh grade.
My favorite hobbies are writing ( I am currently writing a fantasy novel, a murder mystery, and a story called Absolutely Emi), riding (horses are my favorite animal), reading (especially Harry Potter), talking to my sister (she's 15) and watching Lord of the Rings.
I will probably not post very much, but I'll try to keep up with what's happening.
P.S. Sorry if I confuse you. I'm not that good at putting my thoughts into type.

Hi I am Elizbaeth D. ( That's kind of obvious but I just thought it was the best way to introduce myself) You probably already saw my bio on the user directory so I won't put it again. What books do you read? Have you read the Hunger Games or Heroes of Olympus series? If you like to write then there are a lot of great RPs you can join. There is even a mystery that could always use more characters. Don't worry about sounding pushy or annoying. I too come across that way in real life but I don't think I do as much here. Maybe I do and I just don't know it. Well I will be glad if you post sometimes even if it isn't often.

@Elizabeth D. I have never read the Hunger Games or Heroes of Olympus--what are they about? I'm really into fantasy, so if you have any other good fantasy recommendations I would love to hear them.
I like to read the RPs, but I find them rather confusing and I don't think I will be on enough to actually join in. I'll try though.

The Heroes of Olympus is a fantasy book series about Greek mythology; if you've read/heard of the Percy Jackson books, they're a companion series to those. The Hunger Games is dystopian sci-fi about a society that forces randomly chosen teenagers from different Districts of a county to kill each other once a year, but it's much, much better than it sounds. Much better. Really.

Have you ever heard of Percy Jackson and The Olympians? Well, Heroes of Olympus is the series that comes after it. So far there is only one book, The Lost Hero, and the next one, The Son of Neptune, is coming out in October. It is a really great series with lots of action. The Hunger Games is a thrilling trilogy. It's about the post-apocaliptic world of Panem. And more specifically Katniss Everdeen. The books are The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay. I highly recommend both series.

Welcome! I agree with Elizabeth D (who doesn't seem pushy or annoying to me); I often come across as rude in real life, but here, since I've more time to choose my words carefully, I've been told that I sound extremely inoffensive. Anyway, you seem great so far; I'm glad you're here.
Squee! Detc says rtun! Tun! As in, tardigrade undergoing cryptobiosis! He shares my obsession!

Hi, Jess! I'm a girl, and I also like the color blue (sky blue, to be exact). I just put up my bio on the User Directory, so by the time you read this, it should be up. How many siblings do you have? I also have quite a few. Oh, and you might want to check out our RP in Inkwell. It was made by NAME, and we have over a hundred posts on it. One of the characters (NAME's) has the same name as you do!
(April 20, 2011 - 1:19 pm)
@Princess P., I have four sisters and three brothers. Seven siblings, eight of us in all.
(April 21, 2011 - 5:27 pm)
I'm debating how much I really need to tell you about myself because, if you've been reading posts for forever, you already know us fairly well...
Anyway, we're glad that you posted!!! Right now I'm spending more time on the Cricket fb group than the actual thing, but you'll see me post stuff once in a while. :D We hope you stay!

Hi! My name's Olive (though it's Olivia in real life), I'm 12, a Christian, and in Grade 6. I'm also one of the few Canadians here. :)
I'll start off by saying that you don't sound pushy at all and you don't sound very confusing either. You sound rather smart, in fact! Anyways, welcome to the CB (ChatterBox). If you have any questions, feel free to ask anyone, we don't bite! (I think) Oh, another thing to know about me which I forgot to add in my bio in the User Directory, I'm not very good at grammar (when commas are concerned) so... Yup. I also tend to use a computer that has bread crumbs underneath the keyboard so I might have a few typos. I also like to post while eating so I type with one hand meaning more typos. And I have a tendency to repeat and use the word "anyways".
Anyways *headdesk* if you like Harry Potter (which is one of the best book serieses in the entire universe) maybe you should try some books by the late great Diana Wynne Jones. And you should definitely try The Hunger Games. :)

Why thank you. (For the comment about being smart.) I have read and love Harry Potter, and I also enjoy Diana Wynne Jones's books Howl's Moving Castle and House of Many Ways. Are there any more?
My dad said that The Hunger Games is a book that I didn't need to read, so I probably won't. My dad tends to have good advice.

Yes, there's also Castle In The Air. She's also written dozens of other excellent books that you absolutely must read.
(April 22, 2011 - 4:33 pm)
Okay, I'll look for them at the library.
(April 22, 2011 - 6:50 pm)
Wow, you sound suspiciously like my friend Jessie! Except she's an only child, has two dogs, and... uh... that's about it...
(May 15, 2011 - 10:34 am)
Jess is not my real name, it's just a name I really like. If it were my real name, I would want it to be short for Jessaca.
