WEIRD. I commented on this to say I meant guarantee instead of garuntee.  And it says I haven't already commented.  Strange... Anyway, Top!

R~D~, I fixed the spelling in your original post, then deleted your comment correcting it instead of posting it, because the spelling was fixed. Does that make sense to you?

Ooh, fun! I promise I haven't looked up the answers or even read any comments yet.

1.       Who was the 14th president?   I have no idea.

2.       Do all crickets chirp? ...No? I'm just guessing.

3.       What is the correct name for your funny bone? Humerus, but I don't know if I spelled that right. That's why they call it the funny bone, by the way.

4.       Do sharks lay eggs?  Well, they're fish, so I'd say yes, but... wait... I know this... I think they... lay egg sacs... and leave them somewhere... aren't they called... mermaid puches? Or something? And the eggs... come out somehow... and hatch. Right?

5.       Is it impossible to sneeze with your eyes open?  Yes. There's something in your body that prevents it, because if you did, your eyes would fall out.

6.       How much does the heaviest recorded orca whale weigh? I've no idea. A lot.

7.       What is Pangaea? I've no idea.

8.       What is igneous rock made from?  Easy! Igneous rock is what forms when lava freezes.

9.       What’s the capitol of Australia?  ...Queensland?

10.   Henry VIII of England had six wives, two of whom he executed.  Can you name his six wives?  Do you know which were executed? Some of his wives were Catherine (or was it Katharine?) of Aragon, Catherine... de Mici? and... um... I don't know the rest, or which got executed.

11.   How does a dolphin sleep? Half its brain goes to sleep, while the other half stays awake so that the dolphin can go up for air to breathe in the night when it needs to. I think the halves... alternate...

12.   How many popes have there been? I've no idea. I'm not Catholic and really don't pay attention to those things.

13.   How fast can a cheetah run? 70 miles per hour

Out of curiosity, if you didn't know most of these, how did you know what to look up?

@Ima: You got questions number 2, 3, 5, 8, 11 and 13 correct!  Very nice. :) That's a good question.  Well, I had just taken a science and history quiz and thought that it'd be interesting to see if any of you knew some of the questions, but then I thought I would make a quiz out of it all, with a bunch of random facts.  So, basically I just put down things that popped into my head, along with questions from my history and science quiz.  :)

6.       How much does the heaviest recorded orca whale weigh? I have no idea.

7.       What is Pangaea? Scientists believe Pangaea was a place at the beginning of time where all continents were connected.

8.       What is igneous rock made from?  Lava. Right?

9.       What’s the capitol of Australia?  Sydney? I learned this in my geography and now I can't remember! Maybe it was Sydney...

Hannah, you got number 4, 5, 7 (good one!!) and 8 correct (OKAY, I have a question about this one though: My science says it comes from molten rock.  Is that the same thing? Or maybe my science said lava... Oh well :D).  Look at Ima's description of how dolphins sleep, it's very good. You were on the right track though, so I'll give you a half point. :)  You did great!!  Remember- these are extremely random.  I mean, who knows on the top of their head how much an orca weighs? :)  Maybe someone, we'll see!

Lava is a type of molten rock. It's called magma when it's still inside the earth and lava when it comes out onto land. Molten rock doesn't freeze until it comes out of the earth because the outside is so much colder than the inside, so it's lava that igneous rock is made from.

1.       Who was the 14th president? Uh... Can't remember. Abraham Lincoln was the 16th.

2.       Do all crickets chirp? No, I'm pretty sure the females don't.

3.       What is the correct name for your funny bone? Your humerus.

4.       Do sharks lay eggs? I don't think so. Don't they give birth to live young? Either that, or they lay eggs but the young hatch right away or something.

5.       Is it impossible to sneeze with your eyes open? Yes. The automatic (can't think of the word I want to use) muscles in your eyelids prevent it. [reflex? Admin]

6.       How much does the heaviest recorded orca whale weigh?...Not sure.

7.       What is Pangaea? The land mass some scientists believe exsisted before it broke into continents.

8.       What is igneous rock made from? Hardened sand? Wait, no, that's sedimentary. Molten lava?

9.       What’s the capitol of Australia? Sydney

10.   Henry VIII of England had six wives, two of whom he executed.  Can you name his six wives?  Do you know which were executed?Catherine of Aragon, another younger Catherine, Anne Boleyn, and wasn't one of them named Mary or something? I can't remember the rest. Anne Boleyn was executed, and so was the younger Catherine I believe.

11.   How does a dolphin sleep? Lightly?

12.   How many popes have there been? I do not know. Since when?

13.   How fast can a cheetah run? 60 or 70 mph, I think.

Thanks, R~D~!

Spam guy says "zfvr" and I actually first typed "zfavor" because that's what my brain saw. :P

Isn't Canberra the capital of Australia? Has anyone said that yet?

Mary (more commonly known as Bloody Mary) was Kind Henry VIII's daughter. It's possible he had a wife named Mary as well, though, as so many people are named after their parents (I accidentally wrote my parents at first!).

@ Admin: No-one's said that yet, so yes, if you're right, you're the first person to have gotten that one.

...Come to think of it, my answer to that question, Queensland, is actually a province, right? I wish I'd thought longer; then I would've realized that and said something different. Of course, that would have been Sydney or Melbourne, and clearly, it isn't Sydney, as so many people have said that and gotten it wrong, and if Admin's right, it isn't Melbourne, either...

Brynne- you got questions 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 (molten lava is right!) and 13 correct.  Super job :)

~Cheetahs can run up to 70-75 mph, so I'll give that to you.

~Henry's wives: Three Catherines, two Annes and a Jane.  Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard were executed, but I don't know if she was the younger Catherine. :)

~For those who were wondering, the 14th president was Franklin Pierce.

~Admin is right! Canberra is the capitol!

~Oh, and I mean how many popes since the very first one, Peter.

I've got to go to bed now.  Thanks guys!  Glad you like it. ;)
