I have a
Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket
I have a
I have a random test for you, everybuggy. O.O
Mkay, this one isn't like Paige's random tests. This is just one of those that have a bunch of completely random questions (ex: When is the last time you ate fruit?... but I won't ask that one, don't worry XD).
Just so you know, I'll put my answers in italics.
Okay, so here:
1. What do you see when you look to your right?
My 18-year-old cat Fluff sleeping beside me on the couch. ;)
2. What noises, if any, do you hear right now?
My mom vacuuming the bathroom, and now that she just turned it off, the sound of my typing and the overhead fan spinning around.
3. What is the weather like where you live today?
It's really nice out here. It's slightly cool and breezy, and you can smell fall in the air.
4. How are you feeling today?
I feel kind of frustrated and sad today, and the thing is, I really don't have much of a reason to... :\ I'm almost over my flu/throat cold thing, though, so that's good...
5. What is the last movie you watched?
Population 436. That movie is WEIRD... O.O
6. What are five things you like to do in your spare time?
Listen to my MP3 player on the tree swing we have on our hill, read, bake, spend time with my friends and family, and come on the computer, of course (to name a few). ;)
7. What is the first orange thing that you see in the room you're in?
Some fake, light orange flowers in two tin pot things...
8. If you were to walk 10 paces in front of you, where would you be (and what would you be facing)?
Well, after stumbling over the little love seat couch in front of me, I would probably pretty much be running right into the hall closet (Which actually isn't even in the hall. It's near to the front door...).
9. What is the closest picture/painting to you right now and what is it of?
For me, it's a painting of a white horse with a small little girl riding it and three other little girls and a little boy walking beside them (and a dog). It's an old fashioned-looking painting, and it's called "Golden Hours". It's right above the couch I'm sitting on...
10. What is an inspirational quote that makes you feel better when you're feeling down?
What doesn't kill you makes you makes you stronger. And... Everything happens for a reason (I don't actually know if that last one is a "quote", but it is definitely a fact ;) ). Those both help me get through hard times.
Thank you for taking my randon test! :) I hope you enjoyed it!! :D
Megan, Admin finds this tempting, so here are my answers:
1. To the right: Random House Unabridged Dictionary on a wheeled TV table.
2. Noises: Crickets chirping in the night, football on the TV, and gentle voices of the next-door neighbors
3. Weather: a warm and sunny day with a bit of breeze, cooling off in the evening
4. How feeling: tired after a very busy day, happy to be hearing from Chatterboxers and answering your questions, peaceful from the song of the crickets outside the window
5. Last movie: Beyond the Sea (about the life of singer Bobby Darin)
6. Spare time: swim, hike, play the violin, read, watch figure-skating with friends
7. Orange: a Dixon Ticonderoga pencil
8. 10 paces ahead: The first pace would run me into my desk. About four paces to get through the desk, then I'd hit the wall. The wall is maybe two paces thick, then I'd be outside on the grass, and the last three paces would put me right next to the tree that flowers in the spring.(I don't know what kind it is. It doesn't bear fruit, but it's loaded with big beautiful white blossoms in the spring.)
9. Closest picture: The Ballerina, mouthpainted by Chris Opperman, on a desk calendar I get each year from the Mouth- and Foot-Painting Artists. There's an inspiration quote on each page, too.
10. Quote: "Most of the things we worry about don't happen." (said to me by a dear friend many years ago and I have passed it on to others many times)

1. The kitchen counter. Above it is a tray of apples and, a bag of tortillas, a tomato, a piece of kitchen equipment I can't identify, a container of mixed nuts, etc.
2. Unfortunately, my brother's television show. I... do not at all like it when it's on while I'm at the computer, but oh well... Wait, he's paused it now. I hear his footsteps and am glad he can't see this... Now it's back on again, though... But now it's over.
3. I... don't know. Dark, I expect. *peers* Yes, too much so to tell, and since I've not been outside all day, I've really no idea what it's like...
4. Er... I'm not sure. Glad because I'm enjoying this, mainly, but also somewhat annoyed, for outside reasons, and happy for other outside reasons... And worried. And, well, etc.
5. No idea. HPatHBP? When it first came out, I mean. ...Yeah. *does not watch any movies*
6. Read, come here, go to MuseBlog, er... Write? And... um... *cannot think of anything else, really*
7. My mousepad. My (online) school gave it to me, and its main color is orange. I think. At any rate, nearly everything it's given me so far has been orange, light orange, white, and no other colors, so I'm assuming they must be the school colors or something...
8. I'd have to knock down the computer, climb my desk, walk through the wall, and end up in my back yard. I'd then walk through the fence and end up in my neighbor's yard, I think. Or would I walk through the gate into my front yard? I'm not really sure... I have trouble keeping track of the locations of things.
9. That depends. Do book/newspaper pictures count? What about ones in drawers? Baskets? Chests? Dressers?
10. Quotes? No idea. I don't really memorize many quote; if I feel I need one, I look through some book that's supposed to have them and see if I can find anything useful.
Aetc says uefu and vkib, and this was fun!
(September 12, 2010 - 10:37 pm)
1. The stairs.
2. Hindemith Sinfonische Metamorphosen 4th movement. New favorite orchestral work, also playing it. (REALLY HARD)
3. Really nice and sunny.
4. OK. A bit frustrated, but fine in general.
5. Christopher Nolan's Inception. Really quite good
6. a) listen to Coldplay b) practice viola c) go on CB d) read Dickens e) call my friends
7. Nothing orange here, sorry.
8. I'd hit my desk and probably knock over my monitor. Then I'd hit the wall, and then be underground.
9. The Eight, by Cyril A. Powers.
10. Quote: "You've got to get yourself together, you've got stuck in a moment and you can't get out of it." U2 song (Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of, from All That You Can't Leave Behind) refrain lyrics. :)
(September 13, 2010 - 3:52 pm)
1. What do you see when you look to your right?
My bathroom door.

Sunny and windy. Pretty warm, maybe high fifties?
4. How are you feeling today?
I have Pre-Calc homework. Nuff said, yeah?
5. What is the last movie you watched?
Uh... Anastasia I think. Because I ended up on its page on TV Tropes and thought "you know, I haven't seen that in forever..." Oh! And Gypsy with Rosalind Russell right before that.
6. What are five things you like to do in your spare time?
Read, write, draw, sing, browse the internet.
7. What is the first orange thing that you see in the room you're in?
Avatar: The Last Airbender complete season 3 boxset that I stole from Quinn. Though it's more peachy than orange. I don't really have anything orange in my room, because I don't like it very much.
8. If you were to walk 10 paces in front of you, where would you be (and what would you be facing)?
I'd be standing in my closet, about an inch away from my extremely messy shelves.
9. What is the closest picture/painting to you right now and what is it of?
It's an old painting of a beach at sunset on an overcast day, painted by my grandmother as a matter of fact.
10. What is an inspirational quote that makes you feel better when you're feeling down?
I don't really have any inspirational quotes as such that I think about when I'm upset, but the end of Jingo has never failed to make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Which, let me tell you, is a ludicrously rare experience for all that it's used so often in fiction.
(September 13, 2010 - 7:18 pm)

7. What is the first orange thing that you see in the room you're in? Uh... A weird orange towel thing...
8. If you were to walk 10 paces in front of you, where would you be (and what would you be facing)? I would have to walk through (or over) the computer, along with the table, and through a few chairs, then through the island, and it would probably take two paces to get through the fridge, and another two to get through the wall, then I'd be in the bathroom, walking over or through the toilet. So I would be in the bathroom.
9. What is the closest picture/painting to you right now and what is it of? A picture of rabbits with pacifyers from the top of a book my sister got at the library.
10. What is an inspirational quote that makes you feel better when you're feeling down? Hmmm.... I don't really have one. Maybe "Everything is true; unless its not." Hmmm... Or that song I heard a few days ago...

9. What is the closest picture/painting to you right now and what is it of?
Does a map count? If so, a... map! If not... hmm... we don't have many pictures in our house because we have tons of windows. My answer will be the picture my little sister is drawing at the table. She won't let me see what it is until she's all done, though, so I'll have to get back to you about that one. :)
10. What is an inspirational quote that makes you feel better when you're feeling down?
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. Actually, I saw that on a bumpersticker, but it really speaks to me ;). The only other one I can think of is one I saw off of a girls shirt at soccer- Pain is weakness leaving the body.
(September 14, 2010 - 3:48 pm)

Hahahaha... #6... Good job, Paige, way to complete misread the question. :P
(November 14, 2010 - 12:35 am)
Yay!!! I love random tests!!!
1. right: Oh dear. Well, you see, I'm sitting in the middle of a VERY messy table. I'll say the closest thing to my right. It's actually so close to my right, that I have to rest my elbow on it while I'm typing this. Ok, let's see, it's the book Twelve, by Lauren Myracle. This book is a little shocking.... Eleven was better. Less embarrassing.... :)
2. noises: must agree, I hear typing. I have no idea where it's coming from though, as I'm writing this with my mind powers. I also hear our fountain, cars on Dutton, some birds... a weird noise that I think was either my cat or my Dad sneezing.....
3. weather: Ooh, devine!! It's beautiful!! I just went to the farmer's market, and there were pretty flowers everywhere. Anyway, weather, sorry, got sidetracked. It's blue skies all the way, with big stripes of lovely wispies (clouds), and there's a slight breeze which is a little chilly on my toes in the house, cause it's shady, but it's quite nice in the sun. :)
4. feeling: Good. A little stuffy, but I'm used to that. Sleepy, cause I read till one thirty this morning and got up earlier than usual. Happy, because my Dad is home all day, and we're either going for a hike (eh) or a driving lesson (AAAHHHH!!!!!!). I'm sorry you're not feeling too good. I'm sending you happy thoughts. And if you sneezed at 12:20, it's means you received them. :) Although, I think you'll have received them even if you don't sneeze. I'm sorry if you do, and hate sneezing like I do. I can't control that part. Ok. I'm gonna stop not making sense now. :)
5. movie: Um... Star Trek; Final Frontier. I don't know why they called it that. Maybe they weren't planning on making the last one at that time. Cause there is one more in the original series. I can't wait to watch it!!! I'm so happy Spock is back to normal!!! Sorry, I'm a Treky.... Heh heh..... :) Don't worry though, I don't wander around with Vulcan ears. I think that's just weird.
6. spare time: Spare time? What's that? And no, I don't mean that in the normal sense of, "Oh, poor me, I have no spare time." I mean I have ONLY spare time. Well, almost. Anyway:
1) read, 2) computer, 3) play with my cousins, 4) hug my parents for no particular reason. 5) watch old musicals. I don't know why we couldn't do more than five. Wait. Yes I do. Because otherwise I'd have crashed Chatterbox by writing so much stuff. :D
7. orange: Darn, you made me look at the colored pencil thing first, even though there are millions of lovely interesting orange things in here. Ah well: Crayola yellow orange pencil. There.
8. 10 paces: Well, first I'd have to walk through my table. And believe me (wait, I hear the mail, I'll be right back) it's VERY solid, and would not end well. :) Then I'd walk through our family room, and I think I'd end up right in front of the fire place, if not in it, which would also be painful, as it has glass over the front because it's gas.
9. picture/painting: Um. Well, here's the thing. This table I'm at is covered in pictures and things, because a month or two ago I was filling a giant picture frame... and I kinda forgot to clean up. Is it ok if I do the near one hanging on the wall? Thanks: My brother when he was... four? He was BLOND!!!!!! Weird. It's a very cute picture.
10. quote: "Just show up." This helped me through a major panic attack. Thank you Bethany!
And thank you Megan!!!
(October 9, 2010 - 2:40 pm)
Here Goes.........
1. Kleenex Box
2. Typing, and House Hunters International
3. Cloudy, about 72 degrees Fahrenheit (I spelled that wrong. Oh well.) (Admin corrected it.)
4. Quite tired, but I'm angry about something, not quite sure what.
5. H'm, probably The Blind Side
6. Scrapbook, run, read, dance, and write
7. Orange on these little scarecrows we have out for fall.
8. I'd end up on the stairs to the basement.
9. A picture of our family when I was about 2.
10. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away."
(October 10, 2010 - 3:47 pm)
1. What do you see when you look to your right?
A large printer/copier, my iPod, my library card (I'm getting audiobooks on my iPod, which is the only thing I use it for), and a purple box of Kleenex. Actually, I think they're Puffs.
2. What noises, if any, do you hear right now?
Ticking of the office clock, my own typing, and the computer humming. Quiet house. [By the time I finished the quiz, there was also my mum's piano student playing/clapping/talking/laughing. And I stubbed my toe on a vaccuum cleaner and yelped. (It was a big vaccuum, 'k? And it hurt. So it really wasn't that dumb . . . . Well, it probably looked dumb. And sounded dumb. Anyway . . . . )]
3. What is the weather like where you live today?
Warm, very sunny, just a few clouds.
4. How are you feeling today?
Amazing. Today's sermon was phenomenal, and I'm almost done with this big assignment for my AP English class, which is great. So yeah.
5. What is the last movie you watched?
Maybe . . . You've Got Mail? Romantic comedy w/ Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. There are a couple things that make me not recommend it, but it's one of my favorite movies cause I'm cool like that. :P
6. What are five things you like to do in your spare time?
Read books (booksbooksbooks), write poems, talk to my bro on the phellytone, sort my bro's Legos (the whole ginormous binfull; I'm almost done! :D) do schoolwork. Yes, I like to do school. It's fun.
7. What is the first orange thing that you see in the room
you're in?
A pencil that says 'I'm cool' on it. I think it belongs to a friend who lives in Washington. We also have a pencil that belongs to a friend who moved to Kentucky. Quite the collection. :)
8. If you were to walk 10 paces in front of you,
where would you be (and what would you be facing)?
Three paces would take me smashing through the computer desk; one more pace would crash me through the wall; a couple screams would take me down a story; five more paces would send me falling down the little rock barrier around our flowerbeds, and one more pace would have me lying on the grass under a pine tree moaning in agony after my fall from the second story and my trip over the rocks. :P Thankyouverymuch for telling me to do that. ;)
9. What is the closest picture/painting to you right now and
what is it of?
The picture on our office calendar. This month's is a stream with a bunch of fall-y red trees hanging over it. This calendar always has stupid sayings; October's is 'The present moment is always here. . . . .' Really? Y'think? I didn't know that was why we called it the present!
10. What is an inspirational quote that makes you feel better when
you're feeling down?
From our pastor (this is pretty much the Bible condensed into two sentences): 'You are a massive failure; but King Jesus is super-abundantly sufficient for everything. Only when you see that can you love Him passionately.' That's something of a paraphrase. Only in my head it's always said with his accent (he's from India) and his grin (this is his life). So.
Andy says inui. Ennui? Is that what you mean? You're bored? Dude, you really need to pick up that dictionary . . . .
"You've Got Mail." Is that the movie about the independent bookstore and the big chain bookstore that tries to put it out of business? Cricket donated some of the items in Meg Ryan's bookstore for the movie. If you read all the credits at the end, I think you'll see Cricket or Cricket Magazine Group.

That's the one, Admin. Criket did provide a lot of the books for the book stores, and that makes me happy every time I watch the movie. :)
I think we sent them Molly and Emmett dolls, too, but I never got a glimpse of them in the movie. But I only saw it once.
