Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

TCCP

TCCP

And in case you are wondering what that stands for, it stands for The Chatterbox Currency Project.

You're probably wondering, what....... well, I'll explain.

We each set up stores on different places to chat here that "sell" different items. Then, we each have play "money". We all start out with say, oh, 150 dollars. We get to spend it in different places. We can earn more by creating banks or jobs. Maybe we could even have an inventory to show what we have purchased. It will be fun!

If you would like to join, sign up here. Oh yeah, I'll be doing it too.

See you later!

Ok, we both officially have 150 dollars.

When we get some more people, I think I'll set up a bookstore on Bab. How about you?

5 more users would be good.

Can I join? Here's my store: The Novella Reading Lounge and Book Store.

Location: Yonge St, Toronto, Ontario. (Everyone there's so busy, they should have a place to relax.)

*Money: I take away $50 from my $150, and put it in the bank to gain interest. Now I have $200 in total. (Let's pretend a year passed.) So with $200, I buy my inventory. Leaving me with a mere $5.*

* Most stores wouldn't start out with only $150. That would be barely enough to buy inventory, a building, pay for bills, and such. (sorry!) How about we start with $150,000? Sorry for butting in. I was just wondering.

Sure! 150,000. Great.

We can make a bank for you, Olive.

And an inventory!

@ Olive, are you hiring any employes?? If you are, I would like to give you my resume. :) here it is:

11 years as an imaginer

7 years as a writer

9 years as an illustrator

11 years as a coffee smeller and taster

and that's about it... oh yes, of course,

120 years as a reader. :D

So, you can hire me as someone in the coffee part, or the book part, but I would like the book part better... or both of course. And how much would you pay me if i got the job? I think instead of paying a salary once a month, or week, employes should just get a set amount of money all at once. Just an idea. Do we have houses, or is this just a business thing?

And also, Olive, are you doing tea, or just coffee???

thanks, _girlpower14_

Pick me!

My business will be a pet store/music-lesson-place. Name of the Sound of Moo-sic, though as that's really lame I'll probably change it.

Current stock:

guppy ($1)

hamster ($5)

rat ($7)

guppy food ($1)

hamster food ($2)

rat food ($3)

One packet of food lasts one week for one pet. If you fail to feed a pet for more than one day, it dies :(

Cats, dogs, ducks, chickens, and so on coming soon!

piano lesson (1 hour a week for eight weeks) ($50)

guitar lesson (ditto) ($40)

flute lesson (same deal) ($35)

My store would actually be a book store/animal shelter/pet supplies store/dog training facility. I'd call it Ruffs & Reads. I'd also be an author. So here we go:

BOOKS: $20.00 for hardcovers, $10.00 for paperbacks, $5.00 for baby books, $2.50 for magazines.

ANIMALS: Dog adoption fee: $250.00, cat adoption fee: $150.00.

PET SUPPLIES: Look inside for prices. There're too many to list.

DOG TRAINING: $250.00 per session.

@CJ: Maybe we can also get money when people buy our things? Seems reasonable.

So, let me get this straight:

I have $150,000.00.

I get more money when I make a bank, get a new job, or (maybe?) when people buy my things.

Questions here: How much money do I get when I get a new job? Should I have employees? Should I pay them? Shouldn't I have more money now, considering that I just got a new job?

I lose money when I buy things.

Please tell me if all this is correct. Thank you.
