I'm sorry, Annabelle. Sometimes posts get a lot of comments, and other times they don't. Not that I'm telling you you shouldn't be upset. Obviously you have a right to be. But just because people don't comment on your posts doesn't mean they don't like you or your ideas. From what I've seen, you seem like a really nice person :) I like how you comment on posts without comments. It's good to make an effort to do that. All CBers should feel welcome and accepted. Hopefully this was helpful <3

Yes, that does happen :/ I think we notice, but don't comment, for various reasons (maybe because of not knowing what to say, not being interested in that particular subject, etc.)

Yes!! Sorryy... I've been meaning to comment on everyone's posts for days but I've been horrible... and you know, I am stressed, so maybe I should stop making promises to comment on everybody's stuff but I really do want to comment on stuff!! All this to say that I (really) did want to comment on your posts, but I was just... bad at catching up :/ but you really do seem like such a nice person, and like Amity said, just in case, don't think it's you because it's definitely not!! Yeah, some posts get comments and some don't, and it's hard; really sorry again :/ if it's any comfort, it's happened to all of us (I think...). And for once, I don't have homework (okay nvm I do have homework but it's not a LOT so I can procrastinate, right?? :/), so I WILL respond tonight and if not then you can just be like, that was BALONEY Celine, and I'll be like, yeah, I'm lunch meat, sorry... :/ but :D okay I'm rambling sorry uh posting this now I have to comment on a bunch of things before I have to go shower...

Hi there Annabelle! You probably haven't seen me around too much. This should be the first time we've talked, so hello and welcome to the CB! (I'm sorry if this welcome was a bit late.)

My advice is that you don't really need to worry about it! People tend to be preoccupied or simply too busy sometimes, and just because they don't go out of their way to reply doesn't mean that they deliberately want to ignore you. We all have those times where we don't want to post anything. I do understand that lack of communication does convey the feeling of being left alone, but you can be assured that no one on the CB would want to make you feel felt out. Take your time to get to know everyone and let everyone get to know you. Participating in active threads and sections would help a lot. We've got Random Thoughts/things on DTE, Art posting and Poetry contests on Pudding's place, a bundle of threads about writing stories on Inkwell and of course, Kyngdom. To be simple, let your true colors shine out. People will familiarize with you as time passes. Celine above me certainly has more firsthand experience about this phase- I'm already an antique who found the CB back in 2018 and ghosted until officially joining under this name in 2021.

Usually a new post is for an entire conversation, game, rp, story, or other multiple-post concept; if you have a random thought or a rant and you just want to put it out there I would post it as a comment to the random thoughts thread or confession thread rather than making a whole new thread. This is probably why you are not getting as many responses as you want. You will make friends easier by exploring and posting on existing threads and not just making your own! Hope that helps!

(btw I'm not criticizing I also did this when I was new)

I'm sorry that people have not commented on your posts. This is a busy time of year for a lot of people, including me. And the comments that other people have put up about adding to existing threads might help--it's just sort of the culture of the CB to do that, which of course doesn't mean that you can't change it if you'd like.

hey annabelle!! this is kinda just a social group thing i think, cuz alot of the old cbers know eachother really well. but yea, ur posts kinda do get ignored sometimes, and i think a good part of that is just talkign to more people: make an intro thread discussing ur hobbies, etc. and that'll help maybe! idk haha 

i think im kinda struggling with this aswell, esp since i've just come back from a very very long hiatus lol. alot of my old friends on the cb have pretty much quit the cb :') but hopefully ill see htem next v-day!! :D

Aww, I'm so sorry that you feel like this :| I've also had definite moments of feeling like "No one's replying and no one cares", but I promise, that's almost never actually going to be the case. No one's trying to make you feel left out; as others have said, a lot of people (including me O_o) have tons of stuff going on right now, which might be a large part of why they haven't really been reaching out. But that doesn't necessarily mean that we don't want you around or that we don't think you're a super amazing person who can absolutely be a part of the CB.

Also, I think it's always a bit difficult to find your place when you're really new; my very first post here was on a thread that hadn't had any relevance for months XD I think maybe all online communities are like that, to some extent. As soon as you've figured out the basics of how it works, though - basically all the quirks the CB has, like topping and SIs and RPs and things - it gets way easier to really connect with people here. (That's probably why the Ultimate Guide is always offered to newer CBers by about twenty people :D If you haven't seen it yet, though, I'm happy to give you the link!) To that end, as other CBers have said, I think it might help you to explore more threads and see which parts of the CB you feel like participating in (for example, I almost never post art even though there's an Art Posting thread). Despite that, though, never be afraid of reaching out! I'm pretty sure tons of us would like to get to know you better and chat with you on different topics :)

As for me, I'm so sorry I haven't posted on any of your threads up til now :/ I've been pretty busy with other stuff, and I've basically just been keeping up with conversations/writing things I'm already in (and not even that lol). I have been reading what you've been posting, though, and honestly, welcome to the CB :D It's great to have you around, and maybe in future we can get to know each other better!

I'm the same! Sometimes, I want to make comments on certain posts, but I just don't know what to say.

Oftentimes, I read threads but don't really have the time to post something, or otherwise the topic may not interest me in particular. But like others have said, it might be better to post on random thoughts threads or things similar instead of creating a new thread. And sometimes, the post isn't eyecatching at the moment (like a picturing or ski lodge thread), and if you let it go for a while, until you notice there aren't a lot of new posts, you can top or repost it. That is at least my advice. 

Oh, and this is not a pity post. Thank everyone for your support and kindness. You don't have to apologize :)
