Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket
Last thing today,
Last thing today, I promise (just getting the nerves out)
I just started a Baking Club at my school. We had our first meeting on Thursday, which was an abrupt change that I announced Thursday morning during our all middle school morning meeting. 25 people signed up at club fair, but only 8 showed up, even though I reminded people yet again at lunch. Then this kid at the meeting talked way too much so I only got a couple sentences in. HELP! It's a complete mess! Service club has a bake sale next week too, and I have a sign up sheet, but it's really not organized enough. How do I successfully manage a group of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders if it's my first time doing this kind of thing. Oh, and one person already quit...

I get that. I run Asian Culture Club and it can be hard to get people to be interested and participate. I think you need to first of all find officers who can help you run your club so the load isn't too much. You should also not be afraid to use your voice and tell everyone to be silent so you can speak. To get more people to join, see if you can post advertisements, or tell your friends to tell theirs. To get people to participate, I recommend doing games or something fun and engaging that you could advertise. For example, a baking bingo or just making something fun together.

Oof, how's it going now? Hopefully better!! I have a club too and I'm worried I hyped it up too much and everyone who came was disappointed haha, but for advice, I'd just say be confident and enthusiastic and don't be afraid to be loud, I guess? :D And love your location btw :)
