How to come out as self-diagnosed autistic without seeming joking or offensive to the rest of the autistic community? 

(My parents already know, but there are others who don't and whom I want to know)

This is the question. :/

I suppose you could try wearing the autistic-pride thingie(Symbol? Banner? Pin?), or put it on your bag/tech/etc. Just to kinda show you are part of this group, and are supportive. If anyone asks about it you can explain, and add that although you are not officially diagnosed, you do believe to be included in and identify as part of the neuro-divergent community.
