Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON

The shadows surrounded the clearing.

Emma closed her eyes and breathed, wind swirled lifting up her hair, but the tree's branches and leaves were calm. The ball of energy pulsed around her, then shot up in a quick flash of orange, and then was gone.

Emma sat down panting. The probe had taking more energy she had originally wanted to commit. But the astronomers would be pleased. Her mom didnt know what she thought she was doing, giving up her daughter to science. Emma certainally didnt want to be examined under x-rays and violet lights, but of course as Emma well knew the scientists didnt have elf DNA.

Which is why they would never know what she really half was.They had finally given up trying to find out, and had resorted to send her up in space, as in they thought she was immortal.

Just because those pinheads knew human wepons couldnt kill her, didn't mean she couldn't die.

She had wanted to know what she would soon be seeing in person, so she had sent up a catagory 4 probe.

She had moved dried leaves together in a pile to make a makeshift pillow, of course it was not as comftorble as some she had used, but she was still able to drift asleep.
