Guys I have an honest question.

Should I change my name?

I love the name Red Starlight, but it's kind of confusing because Shining Star and I both go by Star. I really don't want to be nicknamed RS or Red or... Light ig? And Red Starlight is too long to type for @s.

So... should I change my name? 

You could shorten it to Red Star. I like people to keep their names; that helps me to associate past comments and postings with present ones and to get to know the body of your work. But it's up to you.

Aww, I really like your name as it is now!

Maybe we would call you Starlight or SL as a nickname instead? 'Course if you still don't like it, we'll still support you with whatever you change it to! 

Maybe Ruby Starlight could work, shortening to Ruby? It basically has the 'image' for me, but I don't know about you an everyone else.

We've already had, I think, two other Rubys. So that's not a good choice.

Well I like your name now and maybe you could just not shorten it to star? Red starlight is fine by itself just kinda long. If you are changing it maybe something similar but not with star like red moonlight? Red light? ( I don't like that one ) or maybe red sunlight? I'm not sure. Did silver star say that they don't like both having the same nickname? Because honestly I think it's fine if you both have the same nickname at least it's not the same name. Or you could do like S star for silver star and R star for you? Kinda weird though. Whatever works for you.

I think your name is absolutely beautiful as is- one of my favorite CB names- and like the Admin said, you could shorten it to Red Star...

I love your name, and I don't think you should feel pressured to change it if you don't want to.  Maybe instead of using Star as a nickname you could use Starlight?

I think your name brings out your personality very well already and is really pretty! As others have said, maybe your nickname could be Starlight? It's still pretty and will differentiate between you and Shining Star.

Sorry! When I chose my name I didn't know that you existed! It is a little confusing. I don't think shortening it to Red Star would help, then there'd be two Stars. Starlight is also a good nickname. If you want me to change my nickname I can, if you have some ideas!

@Shining Star, first, you don't need to change your nickname! I made this purely because I get confused with @s. And I'm perfectly okay with changing my nickname. And also, you don't need to apologize! :) You had no idea and I totally get that :)

If you're gonna do Starli or Starr, I'd say Starli is really pretty, but Starr is also great... it's your choice!
