Hi everyone I'm
Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket
Hi everyone I'm
Hi everyone I'm new to Chatterbox. My sister is addicted to it so I thought that I would try it out. Whenever I look at the computer, my sister's on Chatterbox. I love to read. Does anyone suggest any books?

Hiya Ali. *waves* I'm TNÖ, or just TNO if you don't want to bother with umlauts (which is perfectly fine, despite what a certain Mary W. might tell you...). Stands for The Nearly Omnipotent but that's pretty much null and void now, I just like TNO. My real name is Haley. I'm sleep-deprived right now, so I guess I'm king of rambling... I'll stop...
Anyways. Books, books, books... Well, Harry Potter springs readily to mind, obviously... And the Ranger's Apprentice series, they're fun. But I miss Halt in the later ones. There's always Terry Pratchett of course. I'd suggest maybe starting off with The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents? It's a Discworld book but an easier read then most of them as it's aimed towards a younger demographic. (In other words, it's about half the length with all the juicy goodness of a twisty Pratchett plot.)
Uuhhhheerrrmm.... Just a note, the CB works best if you're slightly mad? So don't worry if you start to hear voices in your head or somesuch, it's all part of my, um, secret plan for world conquest. ;)
In all seriousness, though, dumpling, welcome, hope you enjoy your stay, have a biscuit, etc. etc. I'm sure you'll fit right in. Have a pie. *waves again*
On a completely unrelated note, YEEARGH! The Location and Age boxes switched again! *head asplodes*
On another completely unrelated note because I don't want to make a new thread: *happydance* we're back on the Airport box and our old network, after our horrible excursion into *shudders* the cheap New Technology which I hereby christen the Black Box of Doom. I have an Internet connection in my room again. :D

*needs to stop intaking so much caffeine*
Admin! Location and age boxes still in wrong order! Brain imploding!
Anyways, top. @Ali if you're still here: New threads go to the bottom of the queue after the first post. It's normal, don't worry about it, but hopefully *puppy eyes at tech peeps* it will soon be fixed?

Hi Ali! Books... Your name reminds me of a good book where the main character is named Alianne, Ali for short. Tricksters Choice by Tamora Pierce is the first book. And then there's one book after it called Tricksters Queen by Tamora Pierce.
Random thought: Pierce is gone! he's lost! My favourite cat in my grandmothers (grandma, for short, or maybe mewmew) house is missing! He was all white, had one blue eye and one green eye! And when you pet him he likes to scratch you alot! MY favourite cat! Overuse of very sad exclamation points! Where did Pierce go!!?! *sobs*
Random happy thought: The aliens who are trying to take over earth by spoiling all the kids in the world (grama's, for short, or maybe memaw [TNÖ, do you want to become a spoiling grandma when you are older? Or are you immortal?]) are trying to spoil all the kids! My grandmother *says randmother in weird voice* like's to give presents to me, LUna, and Autumn when it's Autumn's birthday. So, she gets Autumn a bow and arrow, a webkin, and random sticker stuff. She also gets Luna a webkin and me a unwanted bow and arrow. She's very bad at being and undercover alien, very bad. She is the leader of them all!!! And I will be the hero of the world by not getting spoilt by my alien! Mwahahahaha!!!

Hey Meadow I hope you find perice. Its so sad your grandama lost her cat.I have a cat his name is Shadow.Thats sounds like a cool book.I dont know many people that have the name Ali spelled like that with only one L.
(October 22, 2009 - 12:24 pm)
The name Shadow is kind of like Dawn, my cat's name. She is a little kitten with diaria becsause she's been eating food out of Ligers bowl. LIger is my grown cat. If you let a kitten eat cat food, not kitten food, then chances are, you'll have diaria squirted in random places (trash cans, cabinets etc.) in your house. And I think that I should feed the fish...

Ewww my cat had his first hairball today. My sis went crazy .My cat is so cute!!! and is growing so fast. Thanks for the warm welcome into CB.I love it already!!!!!
(October 23, 2009 - 3:14 pm)
What do hairballs look like? I've neer really seen a hairball in my life. LIger is outside most of the day, so he migh tthrow up hairballs outside. Kittens do grow really fast. Dawn is two times bigger from when she first came here about a month ago. Someon had dumped Dawn at my grandma's street and then we told grandma we could take care of Dawn. Dawns full name is Dawn Addie Squirell Weirdo Telula Chipmunk Edwina Cutie Pie Sunshine Super Fun (And then my family's last name.) Her name will soon be longer. I waned to name her Bellatrix, but my mom said she didn't seem like a Bellatrix. She was to shy. But now she's a ferocious-arm-hunting-kitten-that-gives-you-a-bunch-of-scratches. Imagen what she'll be like when she gets bigger... :D

Hi Ali welcome to Chatterbox (p.s ali is my sister i don't really live in Tel Aviv)
(October 22, 2009 - 11:33 am)
Hello, Ali! I am the certain Mary W. mentioned earlier. And yes, my conscience pains me terribly when I don't add (umlaut) after typing "TNO." *gives conscience annoyed look*
On books, well... I re-recommend HP and Ranger's Apprentice.* A few other series you might like would be Artemis Fowl, HIVE, Fablehaven, the Bartimaeus trilogy, and anything in the wonderful Skulduggery Pleasant series which needs more books by Derek Landy. There are others, but I'm slightly lazy right now.
As already stated, the CB is a very insane, fun place and I'm sure you'll feel right at home. :) Again, hello and welcome.
*I'm trying to read EC's Hitchhiker** continuation but RA is so irksomely awesome that it keeps distracting me.
**Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas N. Adams is a great series too, Ali, only I'd suggest you wait 'til you're eleven or twelve to read them.

Sorry, must make off-topic response:
The 3rd Shulduggery book is out! I haven't read it, though.
I'll say Hello tomarrow...

Hello, I'm Charlotte also known as BuksRul (Books Rule). We are so glad that you are here! ~Hyperactive dance around chair~ eeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! I suggest the Inheritance Cycle (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr).
(October 23, 2009 - 3:07 pm)
Hello Ali.
I'll let my far more literate friends suggest books to you (even though I love reading too.) I'm mostly a writer, because Mr. Law, my English teacher, is demanding that I write four novels these next semesters... (I asked my friend Sophie to help and she has too much soccer practice )
And like TNÖ said the only way to survive here is to be slightly crazy and help her conquer the world. So I've gone down that path. And someday you will hear the sound of a viola from the White House entertaining the Leader of the Free World... sorry, I tend to go off on tangents. :)

Hi! I'm Brynne. I hope you stay with us for a while!
...I really don't have much else to say. :)
(October 23, 2009 - 5:02 pm)
@ Reuben: Really? *dance of joy* I will now have to waste money buying it because I'm too impatient to wait for it at the library... oh well.
Regarding Timothy's last paragraph: Ditto, exactly.

Hi, Ali! :D Welcome to Chatterbox. Hmm, books? I'll have to get back with you on that... Anyway, I hope you enjoy Chatterbox as much as your sister does. XD
