Hi lizards! It's official: I've now been on the CB for an entire year! It's crazy that it's been that long. I still feel like a newbie most of the time, honestly! As you might have noticed, I haven't been quite as active on here lately, but I still wanted to take the time to write out a post because joining the Chatterbox made a big impact on my life. I was really struggling mentally when I first decided to check out this website, and I'm so, so thankful that I did. I've been coming up with stories for as long as I can remember, but being on here inspired me to actually write them down. Now, I just hit 30,000 words on my novel, and having that creative outlet has been loads of help with my health and just with improving things in general. So, basically, thank you guys so much for being such a great community! All of you are amazing people, and I'm really glad I got to know you all <3 Also, shoutout to the admins for running the CB! I really appreciate you guys.

On a brighter note, I'll do a Q&A! Ask me anything (within the CB rules, of course) and I'll answer as soon as I can. Thanks for everything lizards!! <333

Hmm, is there any reason in particular you chose "peppermint" zs you CB-name? Do you just like it, or is there more to the story? 

What about genres you like? (To read or write, either is cool!)

Well, there's a couple reasons why I went with peppermint for my CB name. First, I just like the word "peppermint" in general. It's fun to say :) I also liked that it could be shortened to Pepper. I think the main reason why I chose it, though, is because peppermint tea is one of my favorite types of tea!
Historical fiction is one of my favorite genres to read, but I also enjoy reading fantasy and realistic fiction a lot. When it comes to writing, I love fantasy adventure sort of stories :)

Thank you so much, pangolin!! (I love your CB name, by the way :)) My favorite hobbies are writing (no surprise there), reading, and crafting. I enjoy dancing and gardening as well, though!

No worries! And, thank you! My favorite author is Rick Riordan. Although, I've been enjoying Marissa Meyer and Leigh Bardugo's books a lot lately as well!
